Visited here tonight whilst staying locally on holiday. Such a friendly and welcoming place. Food was absolutely out of this world, flavours and taste were spot on. Really wished we lived nearer so we could be regulars! Highly recommend.

Came across this pub while searching somewhere local to where we was staying. I’m so glad we found it. From the minute we walked through the door there was a warm welcome, table decorations for my partners birthday, the food was so amazing. We was a little full after our dinner so skipped desert but they again went out of their way to bring us a brownie plate with a happy birthday message. Thank you for making our last evening in York such a memorable one.
We will most definitely be back on our next trip to York.
It's a fantastic place to spend evening with friends and family. Great food and atmosphere. The owner and staff are superb friendly, so you feel like home. Unfortunately, I moved away so I won't be able to visit so often. But anytime I'm around, I'll pop in for fresh fish and chips

We were visiting our son and had a family meal at the Bay Tree last night. The food and service was excellent. Our two dogs were warmly welcomed. Lovely atmosphere and friendly people in a gorgeous village setting. Would highly recommend.

Lovely traditional village pub offering good selection of beers & excellent food. I asked for a side of vegetables, not on the menu, but wasn't a problem. Very good waitress service.
Wonderful experience at The Bay Tree visiting last night. Lovely decor and garden area with a wonderful warm welcome from Becky who looked after us fantastically all evening. The food was delicious, high end on style, presentation, taste and quality. My kids especially enjoyed saying Hi to the rabbits! We have already booked to return before we finish our holiday. If you are in the area, make sure you try out The Bay Tree!
We are local to the pub and decided to make a booking for my little girls birthday. Not only was the food absolutely outstanding, fresh and home made the effort the staff went through to make my little girls birthday something special was nothing like I’ve ever witnessed. Going above and beyond is an understatement. Words cannot express how thankful we are to the amazing staff and chefs for such a lovely evening and such outstanding food! We will certainly be making bookings more often.

Came all the way from Australia in search of the perfect British roast and this place did not disappoint! Lovely British pub with friendly staff , dog friendly and amazing food and beer.
Fantastic service accompanied by incredible food. I would recommend here for a date, family meal or just a quick spot of lunch. The refurbishment was a success and the new owners are just what this little gem needed. Even a cheeky pint is well worth the visit. I will be back soon and hope to see some of you there. Cheers!
