Review The Bay Tree - Stillington

Came across this pub while searching somewhere local to where we was staying. I’m so glad we found it. From the minute we walked through the door there was a warm welcome, table decorations for my partners birthday, the food was so amazing. We was a little full after our dinner so skipped desert but they again went out of their way to bring us a brownie plate with a happy birthday message. Thank you for making our last evening in York such a memorable one. We will most definitely be back on our next trip to York.

Absolutely brilliant!!! A totally enjoyable, relaxing and memorable time at the Bay tree. Arrived to be greeted by very welcoming friendly staff and shown to our table. The food was absolutely delicious with perfectly sized portions. A great selection of ales to choose from. A very clean and very well decorated venue. Our 8 month old son was made very welcome and well looked after. Having just recently moved to the area I'm definitely going to make this a regular visit not only for taking family and friends but also for nipping in for a swift half when passing 😉🍺.

Tasty pie, could do with a bit more than 1 veg portion included . (we had to order more) Puddings delicious, particularly sticky toffee, lashings of sauce. Nice house wine. Very friendly service.

Although we were the only diners at lunchtime it was a great place to spend time with friends. The food was great and had plenty of choice beers. The hostess was very friendly and accommodating and even gave the dog some treats.

Wonderful experience at The Bay Tree visiting last night. Lovely decor and garden area with a wonderful warm welcome from Becky who looked after us fantastically all evening. The food was delicious, high end on style, presentation, taste and quality. My kids especially enjoyed saying Hi to the rabbits! We have already booked to return before we finish our holiday. If you are in the area, make sure you try out The Bay Tree!

Had a lovely Sunday lunch at The Bay Tree. They were very accommodating of the kids in our party and we were made to feel very welcome. The food was lovely and nice varied menu. Looking forward to going back.

Lovely dog friendly pub. Excellent food! Had the Mushroom risotto and its the best I've ever had!

Fantastic service accompanied by incredible food. I would recommend here for a date, family meal or just a quick spot of lunch. The refurbishment was a success and the new owners are just what this little gem needed. Even a cheeky pint is well worth the visit. I will be back soon and hope to see some of you there. Cheers!

Came all the way from Australia in search of the perfect British roast and this place did not disappoint! Lovely British pub with friendly staff , dog friendly and amazing food and beer.

Nice pub with restaurant or bar area to eat,good food and not expensive. Not overly busy but it was a cold wet Sunday lunch time.

Visited here tonight whilst staying locally on holiday. Such a friendly and welcoming place. Food was absolutely out of this world, flavours and taste were spot on. Really wished we lived nearer so we could be regulars! Highly recommend.

Delicious food, lovely atmosphere a warm welcome Attentive friendly staff. My favourite pub, little dog Abbie loves the bar too. Harrie and Ed have created such a happy lovely Meeting place in our wonderful village of Stillington. Congratulations on your so well deserved award.

Wow very impressed, the food was amazing and the staff very attentive and made us feel very well. The quality and taste of the food was like eating at a Michelin star restaurant. I’m definitely going back again. Thanks for making mums birthday special. One we will remember

Absolutely phenomenal food and service. Not out first visit and definitely not out last. The food is better than anything I've tasted in some high end restaurants. Exceptional chef and front of house.

We visited the bay tree last and had the best pub food we have had in a long time ! The steak was beautiful - cooked to perfection with lovely garlic butter on top! My mum had a pie and said it was absolutely delicious! We all had a lovely evening and all agreed the bay tree have taken pub grub to a new level ! :)

Another fantastic Sunday lunch at the Bay Tree yesterday, great food, great atmosphere. We sat by the fire in the bar area this time which was nice and cosy! The Spanish house white wine is a great house wine and the lamb, pork and beef are all superb couldn't fault any of them! Bring on the next visit! Oh and to top a lovely Sunday meal we (along with our 4 year old) got introduced to Dora the pup and managed to steal her away for a half hour play in the garden. Sunday afternoon perfection.

Would highly recommend, the food was fantastic! Can't wait to go back!

Had a great Sunday Lunch today, the roast rib off beef was excellent and very tasty Yorkshire pudding. Proper roast potatoes and lots of gravy. I was visiting friends for the weekend and your place was recommended and we all throughly enjoyed it. Well done
