Lovely place, we only went there forba coffee and to enjoy a sunny day outside 😎. The place is small but they have cake coffe and nature
Owners were more than friendly and welcoming.
You can camp there as well.
Cash would be recommended 👌
Just returned home after spending 3 nights on the most tranquil , relaxing cl site my wife and I have been to. Great surroundings, had Sunday lunch in the cafe, it was delicious, the deserts were massive,my wife had an enormous piece of the most amazing raspberry cheesecake!! I went fishing didn't catch but think it was too hot, the next day a couple of chaps caught several 18lb / 19lb'ers.
We definitely would return,we didn't want to come home, the site owners were so nice, chilled out and basically were happy if you were happy.
We travel from Isle of Wight to visit Granny Baker and fancy a Sunday roast. We have had a lovely Roast for Lunch. Granny B had Leg of Lamb, husband Jeremy, had Roast Beef and ofcourse I have everything - which is highly recommended! We had Chocolate cake and ice cream, Apple pie with ice cream and Merengue with Strawberries.
I believe it was a Family ran little business, we've met them as they work together. You'll feel lile having a roast dinner at home.
Perfect, quality of food and price, highly recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Only had a bacon sandwich and a cup of tea. Very tasty, could easily have had another. Well worth a visit.
Some friends booked us a pitch here a couple of weeks ago and despite traditional British weather (rain), we had a fantastic couple of days. So much so, we are hoping to be going back soon. Very helpful and friendly with a lovely cafe.
A little gem of a place, well worth finding. Friendly staff and great food
A nice old fashioned out of the way tea room. Matthew and his family are always welcoming no matter the weather.
I take mountain bike rides out here. Tea and cake and sometimes a bacon sandwich.
Always welcome 🙂
Love this place for weekend caravanning. Beautiful surroundings and lots of lovely walks. Tea room is very popular especially for Sunday lunching
Nice quite lake in the heart of Leicestershire, good head of big roach, bream and carp.
Nice size lake with plenty of pegs, the only down side to the lake is that the swims are overgrown alot and the island is no more due to being overgrown with reeds, good depth at one end, shallow and weedy at the far end of the lake which is good fun for carp in the summer.
Great facilities on site with plenty of bins situated around the lake also has a great litter tea shop less than a minute walk from the lake. Definitely recommend lake for silver fish but a little harder to fish for carp on a quick day session. £6 for 1 rod.
Great little day ticket water.
Beautiful and unusual caravan site with basic facilities.. good food/meals available Wednesday to Sunday in a small tea shop. Friendly and helpful owners
