After a different day out in Stockport we decided to try this place for something to eat and I'm so glad we did it was gorgeous. Hubby to be had prawns in sweet chilli sauce to start which he said was cooked perfectly. Mains: I had the steak and ale pie with triple cooked chips and peas, it was absolutely gorgeous, the meat and pastry just melted in the mouth. The triple cooked chips were perfect too lovely and fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Hubby to be had the pepper rolled steaks in a creamy stilton sauce I had a mouthful and can confirm that it was absolute perfection the sauce complimented the steak, you could taste the stilton but it wasn't over powering. I had the apple crumble to finish, lovely crumble mix, apples were sweet custard was smooth easily one of the best crumbles I've had out in a while. Excellent food, lovely atmosphere and fabulous staff If your in the area and want amazing food at reasonable prices this is the place to go.

Not cheap but good value - great staff, comfortable seating in bar and seperate restaurant. Very welcoming.
