Proud to call this pub our local, love to visit on a Thursday to enjoy a pie and a pint. Superb pork pies with a pint of whatever stout or Porter is recommended, doggies welcome. Can’t recommend enough.
I stepped foot in this place, after much anticipation, for the first time tonight and it's everything I hoped it would be. The owners, Alan and Chris, are wonderful people, their staff are curtious, their selection of beers is hard to rival and, for a place that's been open for two days, it's incredibly well handled and full of lovely people. I absolutely cannot recommend it enough.
A great addition to Stockport's stellar ale scene, some colourful paint turns a non descript space into somewhere bright and welcoming, helped by comfortable seating and good lighting. Classic rock at a reasonable volume completed the pleasant ambience.
Good selection of cask ales of both types of ales and qaulity brewers. I had a very nice stout. Will def be back on my next Stockport pub trip.
The selection of cask ales, ciders and perries is always excellent as is the bottle shop. Bring in a takeaway meal if you are hungry!
Great place to enjoy a quality beer close to the market. Interesting cask/keg/cider selection: they even had barley wine when I was there. There could well be a bottle shop upstairs full of Belgian rarities.
Really, really, really good place. The staff are friendly the beer choice is a amazing, both to drink in and to take out. Definitely worth a visit.
Called in for the Mild Challenge and a great choice of beers on tap. Prompt service and reasonable prices, worth a visit and will definitely be going again.
