Early days yet, but this looks like a return to the Crown at its very best. Good beer, friendly staff, classic interior and exterior.

First time being here last night. Didn't notice that there was massive decking outside in the back which made the experience even better.

- Brilliant decking outside
Cons
- Could clean graffiti in certain areas and in toilets
- Not the usual on draught selection I see in a pub but that's just how it is
Other than stated, I can't really find alot of faults or any at all here. Would highly recommend for a chilled drink and nice relaxed chat.

We visited underneath stockport viaduct this extremely good real ale pub
This pub is a fantastic real ale with 7 hand pumped ales on a proper locals pub somewhere that anywhere real ale drinkers want to drink in they must drink in when in Stockport should drink in

Ancient inn with delicious food in the heart of Manchester.

Good pub, beer is decent staff are polite and friendly.
Unfortunately, it doesn't have bar snacks.

Visited 6.45 on a Sunday evening.
Friendly welcoming staff.
Option to order at table rather than at the bar.
Meals at our table & neighbouring table were well presented. Our meals served very hot & tasty.

First time visit since it reopened. A good selection of real ales. My first pint was off but it was quickly replaced with an alternative. The bar man was friendly and attentive. The place feels and looks better but managing to keep its original features and old world charms. A big improvement.

Excellent improvement under new management. Good beer choice and quality, friendly welcome. They also do some food now, though I haven't tried it yet.

Great pub, loads of atmosphere and history. Fab range of beers, gins and whisky's. Loads of different rooms to sit in. Lovely beer garden and amazing view up to the aquaduct would definitely recommend that you visit.
