Very unique place for Stockton I feel, food is also top notch and they're super friendly. Their chips are proper chips not those anemic things you get in most places, good coffee too, their brekky is also brilliant. Just too notch all round , reasonable prices given current climate as well. They're also dog friendly.

Best breakfast in years!! Not a drip of grease in sight and the best coffee I have ever tasted too!! New regulars here for Sure!! If you haven't been here yet its a must visit. Friendly staff and cheap prices for the amount you get.

This cafe is a lovely cosy welcoming place. Old vintage metal chairs with covers and blankets. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. This is a place I go to for my morning coffee. Books to read, lots of seating and plenty of lovely food for lunch. Recommend this place for a coffee stop in Stockton-On-Tees when everything opens up again.

The friendly team running this cafe make it a great place to enjoy a drink or a bite to eat. If you enjoy a good coffee they offer the usual but also various varieties brewed in aeropress or chemex filtres. Well worth trying. Got to be the best coffees in Stockton.

Lovely little cafe. I came here today with my dog and had a gorgeous cuppa and cake , lots of of options to for me who's dairy free and even the dog got a treat. The layout was very well done with social distancing in mind and lots of signage made my first trip to a coffee shop since before lockdown , very enjoyable and relaxing. There were lovely staff and it's a very clean cafe I look forward to coming back.

Came across this cafe by pure chance yesterday while in Stockton, and what a good choice we made. A lovely varied menu, yummy coffee, super friendly staff, and the food was nothing less than excellent. My only downside ... I don't live near ... if I did, I'd be there every week. You've got to give it a try. Enjoy!

This delightful team moved from the Barrage Cafe in April 2019. They used to cook me a fabulous post parkrun omelette with home made chips.
Now settled into their new format as Slave to the Grind in Stockton I visit them regularly for coffee and delicious foods. Highly recommended.
