Had a Sunday lunch today celebrating our wedding anniversary and twin grandsons 8th birthday the meal was excellent good service from the friendly staff. Food was beautifully presented hot and all fresh vegetables. Couldn't rate it any higher or I would have done you will not be disappointed best place I've found for miles Thanks to all the staff.

Turned up without booking on the off chance. A lovely gentleman found us a table (even though they were fully booked) food was lovely, staff/ owners were extremely friendly and patient even when our 2 year old was sitting in the dining room floor stroking the pub dog Sammy. Thanks guys we will be back (maybe without the toddler)

Very good little gem. Visited today for dinner, and greatly surprised of the quality of the pub. Inside it is absolutely spotless clean, atmosphere very cosy, and staff friendly. Food was 9/10 and service also, this due to not being double checked after we had our mains, and the veggies were microwaved and not fully cooked. We’ve noticed all the food comes on a plate, but chips and veggies separate which is a new thing and we couldn’t decide weather is working or not, as we had to share a bowl of chip’s between us. I totally recommend the pate, chicken goujons, and the pie for the main. The pie was cooked perfectly, and the beef was very very tasty and soft. Puddings 9/10, again, custard seemed to be microwaved and had some lumps inside and a jelly texture, but only few places are doing dessert in the house nowadays so its totally understandable. We’ll definitely be back as it was a worthy experience. Very good prices for food but also for the drinks considering the current markets. Thank you.

We organised with the manager for a table of 18 for our family on our wedding day. Fantastic service and care. Looked after us and the food was as brilliant as it always is even with a big group. Cannot thank you enough for looking after us and making our evening very special.

About 15mins from the A50/A500 Sideway roundabout and easy to get to. Good free parking. Dined in for dinner and had a lovely 3 course meal with a prosecco in a crystal glass and a strawberry!! Fab. Duck rolls for starter - lovely. Breaded brie for main - nice and a generous size cheesecake - delicious. Service was great, dining area was clean/tidy decor was tartan and stag themed - very nice. Lovely restaurant, would visit again and highly recommended!! 😃👍

Perfect place to grab some lovely food at a good price and good service. We were starving after Alton Towers and this place served as a perfect solution. Burgers are monstrous and delicious and kids portions are huge. Lovely staff too

Not in the main room that we would have chosen but the alternative room was acceptable. Food was very good and service was satisfactory. Not too bad a wait. Would definitely return in the future.

My wife and I ate there last night (Wednesday evening) and were thoroughly impressed. I had a pint of Pedigree whilst my wife had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc whilst we ordered, service was very friendly and prompt. We both had the steak and mushroom pie which was lovely, swilled down with a nice bottle of Malbec. My wife finished with bread and butter pudding and I had sticky toffee pudding. Delicious, and all for less than £55.
