Basic but friendly would be my initial assessment of this establishment. Came on a Saturday night when the place was very busy (always a pleasure to see a local pub being used!). Alice the waitress was very friendly and, despite being the only one present, was excellent. Food was acceptable, reasonable choice on the menu but music was far too loud, even after having it turned down.
