Great Sunday roast experience. Because we had a larger group, the staff bought over trays of vegetables and sauces instead of having each of us visit the carvery counter individually. Meat was slightly drier than I'd have liked but everything else was spot on.

Great local pub that serves quality food and drink and features good live entertainment on some Saturdays. Friendly and helpful bar staff. Good for business meetings and functions with a good space in the adjacent room. The recent refurbishment has enhanced this great historic pub, with a fabulous beer garden, sheltered smoking area and children's play area. Good parking facilities too. Looks inviting and atmospheric at night with the lanterns on. Either passing through, having something to eat or in for the night I'm sure you will enjoy this place and want to come back.
