Dropped into this lovely pub by chance yesterday and will definitely return. Everything was pleasing from it's characterful exterior to lovely, cosy interior. The food was faultless, and the staff cheerful and helpful. A great find!

We're on a walking tour visiting from the States. We weren't able to get a dinner reservation but stopped in for a pint at the end of a long walk. The outdoor seating area is a lovely, relaxing setting. The friendly, cheerful staff was very welcoming and apologetic over not having room for dinner. We'll definitely remember to stop again on our next visit to the area.

Very special place. Has to be visited. Extremely welcoming. Beer garden view over village green. Food exceptional. Must have Sunday lunch. But you must book

Very friendly welcome in an excellent dog friendly pub. Despite being tucked away in the oldest part of the village it has car parking and a beer garden on the other side of the road. The nearby Church House Inn is the most popular place but the discerning who prefer something less industrial will come here. Recommended.

Fabulous setting, friendly and efficient staff. Sunday roast cost a little more than I usually pay but it was absolutely delicious. I had beef, my husband lamb, cooked to our liking. Followed by lush deserts; all washed down with gorgeous real ale. Definitely recommend (suggest booking ahead) and will definitely be returning. Excellent covid rules too.

What a lovely pub with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. The out door area is very well presented and recently refurbished. We only stayed for drinks but would definitely go back and try their food. Service was quick and prices reasonable. The guiness was good.

Sunday Lunch was excellent. A set menu at £24 for 2 courses, which was a little more expensive than expected but worth it. Staff very friendly, all Covid safe. Would have appreciated a cushion on a rather hard wooden seat!

This is a lovely little pub with nice beers and fantastic food all tables were full with diners while i was there so i imagine you need to book a table in advance. Worth it though. The staff are very good and polite.

We had dinner here twice on a family holiday recently. There was a great welcome and service from the barman and other staff, and the real ales we tried (from Otter) were probably the best we had found in the area. The bar menu offered very good versions of pub classics, while the dinner menu was intriguing with unusual combinations that really worked; not so surprising when we discovered that two years ago the chef had got to the quarter-finals in Masterchef - the Professionals. Portions were generous and the food delicious. I have no hesitation in recommending this lovely old pub, but do book first to be sure of getting a table.

Ten of us went here for our Christmas lunch & they went above & beyond to cater for me as the only vegan, researching vegan foods, making a menu of three starters, three mains & three deserts for me to choose from beforehand, Gareth the chief really did himself proud..the food was absolutely delicious!!!!! (As was everyone elses food) :D So so good I will def recommend to vegan friends to going here as many pubs & restaurants do not bother to even try to accommodate a vegan customer, hope this inspires you to have vegan options on your menu all the time, non vegans & vegetarians would love it also. :) Thanks so much for making me feel welcome.x

What a great time, it was our first time to the Tradesman Arm’s as we are newly local and we will be going back again soon. It was a great mixture of locals and tourists in the bar and restaurant. The food tasted exceptional and served well. It was a hot day and I was still tempted by the Steak and Ale pie... glad I did, it is the best pie ever, so much tender steak pieces and a great pastry on top. My partner had the special being mussels as did many others, so a messy time was had by all. Dogs are very welcome, wished we had of taken ours now but we thought it too hot, they would have made many friends.... Service was excellent at the bar and in the restaurant too, a lovely country pub doing excellent local food with a good atmosphere.

Bluey the Budgie was made very welcome and his ickle bottle was filled with water. He sat happily chatting away as we tucked into a fabulous roast beef lunch with all the trimmings, followed by their scrummylicious ice cream 🍨. Warm friendly happy atmosphere serving local produce with a smile and sense of humour. Highly recommend this lovely pub, it’s immaculate ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you want to experience the quintessential English B&B pub, in a gorgeous picture postcard village location, put The Tradesmans Arms at the very top of your list. It has everything. Cathy and her team are wonderful. The food is excellent too! If you are going to stay overnight, request the room under the thatched roof. It's smallish but lovely

Delicious food and great service. What more can one say? Excellent! By the way, they are very dog friendly and there was no issue with my husband’s guide dog. In fact we noticed they have been raising money for a guide dog puppy. Sx

Had lunch today on our first visit - just wish we could have stayed for Spanish Night! A real 'old' pub with friendly staff (and customers), good food and a lovely setting.

Mysig B&B i traditionell stil. Nära mycket vackra ställen i Devon men ändå avskilt. Puben är trevlig med mycket god mat. Gästvänlig personal. Hade rummet över pubens bar och isoleringen var inte så bra därför kunde det vara störande under sen kvällen med sorlet nedifrån.
