We visited this pub for a meal on a Wednesday evening. We both had the Indian Platter to start, and it was very nice. For mains I had the Fish and Chips with Mushy Peas and my husband had the BBQ Burger. Both meals were very nice and good portions. The staff were working very hard and enthusiastically and all our food was served in good time and still hot. We both decided to have a pudding. My Chocolate Mint Sundae was delicious as was my husband’s Orange and Chocolate Bread and Butter Pudding. A bottle of wine and two pints of lager helped wash it all down. Good pub food. Nice atmosphere. Good service. Reasonable prices.
Lovely food, very friendly staff, great setting next to the canal! Very accommodating as we had to change the date for our buffet at short notice. Great touch arranging your wall scrabble letters into a good luck message for our colleague. Thank you!
Absolutely lovely pub, great service very friendly & right on the canal by a lock. Very pretty and lovely to sit and watch barges go by.
Food was beautiful, tasty and very generous portions. Good prices and fast service.. food came very quickly.

Dropped in just to sit by the canal for a quick half hour after work. Sat outside in the lovely weather at the moment. Ordered sharing bowl of BBQ wings and ribs, with side of fries.
Honestly, must say how absolutely pleasantly surprised we were - it was amazing !!! Good, hot, tasty food. Very fair price. On the way out, we saw someone else having steak - it looked fab, so we'll be back very soon to check out the steaks 😍
Went visit this pub today on the off chance as a drive past. They were very welcoming and served food which is a win! As I was hungry. Situated in a very nice spot. Right next too the canal. Shane and sam were very pleasant and helpful with accommodating my requests parking my camper van for free on their car park. Highly recommended. 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Meal with family, the Food was served quickly, but no chips with the lasagna and it was a very strong cheese, so the kids didn't enjoy that, the ultimate burger was great and pie was OK, as was the gammon. Lovely spot and great staff.
Only one person serving so quite a queue, second was changing a barrel and third was not till trained. Beer OK though and food also OK but medium rare steak was brown not red. Location by the lock excellent.

I went with my family and thought the experience was absolutely amazing. The staff were very kind and catered to my families needs and the food was incredible. I couldn’t have asked for better food.
Had food in the past and always been good, the setting is great right to a canal and within walking distance of stone High Street.
If you're looking for mountain climbing this is not the right place however, if a pint by a canal and watch the world go by, its awesome.
The food was ok from there and the atmosphere in the pub was ok as well as we sat in the restaurant part of the pub which was very quiet.
