Had such a relaxing time and great food. The omelette was delicious and the atmosphere was relaxing, luckily with the help of good weather that I could sit outside.
The prices were great as well, definitely worth visiting.
Was very surprised but how good everything was.

No vegan options on the menu but chefs where happy to make me some Vegan macaroni. It was delicious!

Best family meal this year. 5 eating with table booked for 6pm 10th October. This followed a lunch visit on Tuesday for three on Tuesday which was so nice we decided to have dinner. The menu wasn't extensive and could have been pub grub. But it was absolutely a cut above. Every dish was very well done and nicely presented. The service was super friendly. Five stars is for the complete package: Nicely set table, very attractive contemporary fittings, nicely lit, spacious but warm and cosy at the same time, great service, unexpectedly good food, and excellent value for money.
Great little spot for breakfast, reasonable prices and friendly staff.
This is a lovely bar and coffee shop. They sell reasonably priced food and the portions are plentiful. Their cakes are great value and the staff have a smile on their faces. They are dog friendly and will serve pooches a bowl of water when they arrive. I would recommend visiting with your furry friend for a good homely meal or coffee in a relaxed environment.
Regularly meet for ladies lunch since opening. Last few month 2 polite , happy super obliging young girls taking orders what a difference good staff make. Food not as good as previous but getting staff has to be difficult in the market. Great coffee, always warm and welcoming.
I visited the Slate & Grain for the first time today where I was greeted by a very polite and helpful assistant called Charlotte who showed me to a seat, and after providing me a menu she took my drink order, and upon delivering my drink she took my food order. I was very happy with the surroundings which were very clean and tidy. After having my lunch which was very good and tasty, and well-priced.
I can happily recommend this restaurant.

Young, friendly staff. Very pleasant atmosphere.
They catered easily for a walking group party of 11 people who wanted coffee & scones etc. They arranged for us all to sit together to talk freely amongst ourselves.
Sat outside today and had a very enjoyable lunch in the sunshine 🌞
