I had not been to this place for several years and generally was in no rush to go back there. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised when I went there a few days ago however as the place was so much smarter than I remember it. The atmosphere was very friendly as was the service and drinks. Great proof that it’s always worth giving a place a second chance if it’s been a while. The turn around is a credit to the owners.

Have been a few times for drinks: beer always nice and comfortable surroundings. This time we had Sunday lunch too: roast meals on offer. Well priced, good portions and nicely cooked. Under £18 for roast beef and apple crumble: recommend!

Very nice place. Loved the new menu. Had a lovely tuna steak on a sizzler platter with mashed potatoes. Was a bit puzzled by the service who came at least 4 times to confirm my order.

We were just driving past and called in. Do not be put off by the outside appearance. The staff were very welcoming. The pub itself and toilets were very clean. The beer was a well kept pint and the food was fantastic, lots of homemade verities and so tasty. The service was pleasant and quick even though there was a few people eating. The prices for the food and service received was well worth every penny and didn't think it was expensive at all.
Would definitely highly recommend a visit if passing. Glad we did 👍
