Ate hear last night excellent steak pie plentiful piping hot with veg and chips observed by an excellent friendly host and didn’t break the bank

First time visiting yesterday and very impressed. Huge variety of drinks on offer and the staff were very friendly. Will definitely be back to try the food as it looked delicious.

Went to a Hen Party at the Windsor Castle in Lye, for afternoon tea and cake, the spread wes very good with s mixture of sandwiches, macaroons, scones and cakes. The staff were lovely, very and really looked after us. Had a lovely afternoon there. We did not stay there so cannot comment about the facilities.

We visited for a Friday evening meal. (It's best to book first) There is little parking on site but we understand there is a car park up the road. Our greeting was great and we were on their radar for the entire evening. Service and customer care was excellent. The restaurant area was fully booked and when our meals arrived it was clear why they were busy! The food is good proper food, cooked and prepared well and a wide variety was available. Prices were commensurate with the fayre provided. We will return another day, to do the brewery tour and dine.

It has been a while since we had been to Lye, unfortunately the location has gone downhill. We were warned that our van was highly likely to be broken into due to an increase in crime. I'm Dudley born and bred, so I wasn't expecting perfect, but it was not the same place it was a few years back. The pub itself tries hard to please, and the staff are lovely. The room was ensuite, not all are, but do have a private bathroom opposite. Just a little tired in the rooms, we were on bank holiday pricing I think as I wouldn't have paid that for the room otherwise.
