A group of 9 visited for the Sunday buffet for a double Birthday celebration. We requested an additional seat at very short notice which was actioned immediately. The service, friendly and welcoming. Friendly staff .... wonderful food , even our really fussy kids cleared their plates would definitely return and the Singapore chow mein was the best we have had anywhere

The decor is pretty basic and very tired looking however the food is lovely and the service second to none.
Having watched a movie at The Regal we decided to go to Chequers for dinner afterwards. Best decision ever!! The food was really good - and I mean, really good. The spare ribs were lightly crispy, tender and melted in the mouth. The hot and sour soup was just the right balance of tangy and spicy. W
Great food with proper 'old school' service, keeping your drink topped up etc, even offering the help you on with your coat from the cloak room. Always a good meal
Really good Chinese. I’ve order a lot of different dishes off the menu and everything has been delicious. What really makes this place special though, is the super friendly staff. We ate dinner before a gig at the John Peel Centre. We ordered bbq ribs chilli prawns king pao chicken Singapore rice noodles and bean curd w veggies. It came out really quickly from the kitchen and all was really unexpectedly delicious. Will def go again. Huge place but quite empty on a Friday nigh
