A Culinary Delight at The Ivy House Nestled in the heart of Stradbroke, The Ivy has long been a beloved spot for locals and visitors alike. Recently, the pub made waves with the appointment of a new chef and the introduction of a tantalizing food menu. Intrigued by the buzz, I decided to pay a visit and was not disappointed. From the moment I stepped inside, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with a cozy yet stylish interior that exuded charm. The staff greeted me with genuine warmth, setting the tone for what would be a delightful dining experience. Opting for a classic British fare, I started with the quintessential dish: fish and chips. The crispy batter encasing the flaky fish was perfectly seasoned, and the chips were golden and crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Each bite transported me to the shores of a seaside town, where the aroma of salt and vinegar filled the air. For dessert, I indulged in the sticky toffee pudding, a true testament to the chef's culinary prowess. The pudding was moist and decadent, with a rich toffee sauce that danced on my palate with every spoonful. It was a sweet finale to an already memorable meal. Throughout the evening, the service was impeccable, with attentive staff ensuring that my dining experience was nothing short of perfection. From recommendations on the menu to timely refills of my drink, every detail was thoughtfully attended to. In conclusion, my experience at The Ivy was nothing short of exceptional. With a talented chef at the helm and a commitment to excellence evident in every aspect of the dining experience, The Ivy has firmly established itself as a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts in Stradbroke. I eagerly anticipate my next visit, eager to explore more of the culinary delights that await at this hidden gem.

Lovely food! Quite a long wait on the meal though (we arrived at 12:57, starters came at 13:56, mains at 14:49). Also, the prawn flatbread only came with four or five prawns which was a bit disappointing.

Fantastic job by the new landlord renovating the pub. Tasty local beers and a good wine selection. Very friendly and helpful staff give a warm welcome. Looking forward to the kitchen opening to sample the new menu
