This was recommended to us by the receptionist at the Premier Inn where we were staying for the night. Very convenient location for us. Lovely food that night. The service was excellent, friendly and prompt. At one stage we had 4 different people looking after us. A nice atmosphere indoors where we ate. The rugby was being shown outdoors and everyone there seemed to be having a good time. There was a good selection of drinks as well.

Great food - particularly the first class Sunday roast, but VERY slow service. It took over two hours to order and eat mains and desserts.
One to avoid if you're in a rush, but definitely recommended for a foodie experience if you're prepared to wait.

Had dinner here on a Saturday night, the staff were absolutely amazing! Really helpful and friendly and made sure our food and drinks arrived to us promptly. The food was really good, only negative was that they had ran out of a lot of food by the time we were ordering at 7, I think they could have planned this better for a Saturday! But the staff let us know as soon as we arrived so we were aware so not a massive complaint really considering how good the food was

Visited Monday while passing through Stratford with a gentleman I support who is in a wheelchair & has a few specific needs. Staff very welcoming and helpful, we only wanted something little so had a starter each but they were absolutely delicious.i had the prawns and they're the best I've had! We went back today & they remembered us & were very welcoming and attentive again. We had the same food, the prawns did differ from Monday but were still very nice. Lovely decor, other diners were lovely and friendly too. All round Nice place. Will recommend 👌

Probably the best veggie Sunday dinner in Stratford! And meat eater said theirs fab too. Such friendly staff, chilled atmosphere, not rushed and nothing was too much bother. 5* food and service! Well done The One Elm you’ve got it spot on.

We travelled from Birmingham for a random Sunday day out and I was trying to pick the night before where we should go for Sunday lunch. There’s quite a few authentic pubs that serve it on Sundays so I sifted through them and eventually picked this one based on the pictures in reviews. I am SO glad we chose here, as it was the best Sunday lunch we’ve ever had, the staff were so lovely (in a genuine way too, not forced or fake) and it was really reasonably priced. They even came round and offered extra yorkshires and roast potatoes for free whilst we were eating. At the end, the waitress asked if my partner was a Dad to a child or a dog, and then gave him a free can of beer as it was Fathers Day.
We loved it so much we have agreed to travel down to SUA every couple months for a Sunday dinner, and I’ve told all of my family from Milton Keynes about it so that they can pop over.
So if you’re debating which pub to book a table at: it’s this one!!

Second consecutive Saturday we have visited. It doesn’t look special from the outside but it is. Fantastic food, restaurant type dishes, cooked to perfection in a relaxed pub environments. Staff are so friendly. Very dog friendly - they even brought a bowl of water and treats on our arrival. I think this may now be my favourite gastronomy pub.

Visited having been to a sister pub in group. Celebrating a significant anniversary. Good welcome on arrival, seating area could have been warmer but did warm up. Service was prompt and friendly. Had a problem with the fish dish being excessively bony, but they worked hard to resolve and ended up with a completely fresh dish which was excellent. Generous gift of some wine for our celebration too. We will be back. Thank you.

Just had a lovely Sunday roast at The One Elm in Stratford-upon-Avon. The meal was delicious. I had the pork and cracking and Julie had the beef cooked medium rare. Plenty of veg, roast potatoes and Yorkshire pud. Had side dish of cauliflower cheese and a fantastic stepping with sausage and bacon in. Staff are delightful and attentive. We got seated in the loft area which is very cosy and good music in the background. Offered extra roasties and Yorkshires which was a nice touch. I had a very good IPA. And a pinot for 'me Julie'. Well done to you all at The One Elm. Highly recommended.

Lovely plate of food, kudos to the chefs. Pie pastry was spot on, greens not over cooked, mustard mash bang on. Good service from the bar staff - brought us blankets outside and offered to look after our bikes. 10/10 would recommend; a great afternoon in their Courtyard.
