For a smallish town Strathaven has a knack for producing some excellent mid range restaurants and coffee shops, The Drawing Room is no exception. W have been here several times on our own, with friends and with family and on all occasions we have all really enjoyed the experience. Nice food well presented, great service and great coffee - its also licenced so you can have a drink. It can be busy (sadly in ts not dog friendly , understandable though) - the staff are very friendly as well. Their French Toast, quiche, soup and sandwiches are especially nice.

It's a lovely place for breakfast/brunch. It would be nice if they could take the food up a level. However the staff were very friendly. Unfortunately it's not dog friendly which is a shame

Attended a BBQ tonight at Drawing Room. The food as always was superb. The band the Rooks were superb. Staff work so hard to make the evening a fabulous night. Thank you.

Haven't been to the Drawing Room in several months due to hectic family life, but we managed to visit today for some lunch. Everything was first class, the food was amazing, beautifully presented and extremely tasty. The service and atmosphere is still as good as its always been. The kitchen/gallery is hidden behind the entrance, but we popped our heads around the corner to commend and thank the chef personally! Highly recommend this fantastic cafe for a coffee, lunch or afternoon tea.

There were 10 of us (including teenagers) and we hadn't booked, but we were fitted in and made welcome - food was good (breakfast - eggs Benedict etc.) - Enjoyed it - just a shame we're not in Strathaven very much

This place is superb, excellent service, staff make u feel so comfy, food is delicious. The smoked Mac n cheese was so very filling, I added the wild garlic mushrooms and ahhhh so good . The missus had the French toast with bacon and an assured it was fantastic ( didn’t even get a taste ) even the dressing on the salad was very tasty with the dressing .

Bright, light, spacious setting with high ceilings and art on the walls. There is a small menu of perfectly cooked food, delicious cakes and fantastic teas and coffee. You will not be disappointed with a stop here for breakfast or lunch.

We went to The Drawing Room a couple of weeks ago. We went for brunch and we were very pleased with the food and service. We booked ahead as it was quite busy. There is a good sized carpark outside and we were lucky to get the final space.
There are quite a few options for breakfast. Worth a try.
