Ok, if only there were more than 5 stars available in Google reviews! This is a little gem of a restaurant. We had the all you can eat tapas and each dish was just just superb. Genuinely.bowled over at the high standards of both the excellent dishes and the service. Refreshing for a small independent to be streets ahead of the other places we've tried locally. Definitely coming here again, and again.
I am giving it 5 stars because the food doesn't deserve any less! Lovely food, different to what you may find in any other restaurant in the area. The service is great and make you feel very welcome. Good wine to round it off.
My only comment is I always find the music to be way too loud and sometimes unpleasant to have a good conversation.
That being said I have been there various times and plan on coming back (hopefully to quieter music :P)
Can’t say enough good things! We booked their upstairs room for a very small baby shower, and we were completely surprised and delighted to find they had decorated the room with balloons and flowers. The afternoon tea was absolutely gorgeous and they were happy to cater to our gluten free guest. Wonderful service and a great experience - the Sunday roast downstairs also smelled amazing so we will be back to sample that 🙂
Visited here just over a month ago for lunch. It was so busy they had to open upstairs for us and some other tables which apparently they hadn't planned! You couldn't tell they were swamped because everything was exceptional - from the food and service to the atmosphere.
Ellie looked after our table, she was one of the best floor tenders I have ever had (and I have managed in Michelin star venues), she was so helpful and attentive and just LOVELY. I can't recommend this place enough. Big thanks to Ellie for a wonderful experience.
The food was amazing and so filling. They catered for the fussy eaters on the table and provided a special dish of their famous ratatouille!
The staff were so friendly and welcoming.
If you get chance go to the special nights! I’ll be going again!
Lovely food, one of the best in the area. Varied menu that caters for all, with quality ingredients and lovely flavours. The mains don't come with sides, but there are a number of reasonably priced dishes that have all been delicious. Also good for lunchtime, as chef, not Gregg's, derived menu! Good and interesting selection of bottled beers as well. Good service, and plenty of tables.
Walked in by chance as we stayed over in Street to visit Glastonbury. We were very happily surprised with the excellent dishes served. Meatballs are definitely recommandable. Absolutely delicious!
Absolutely stunningly fantastic food! I honestly don’t know WHY this place isn’t better supported…the food is fantastic and not over priced, everyone there is SO pleasant, helpful (I’m disabled) and all round nice people…I used to live nearby and found them by chance, I now live 40+miles away but it’s a place we’ll make the effort and cope with the expense to support
recommended 100% 😁
We have eaten here twice and one week, and enjoyed so much we're booked in again next week. I haven't enjoyed food locally so much for a long time. A really interesting mix of flavours and every plate so far has been delicious. Can't wait to return next week.
I wish them every success.
Making a visit to Clarks Village thought we would take a trip into Street We found this excellent place where we had an excellent lunch. On future visits to Street & the village we will certainly eat at Grape & Grain, why not! Food was excellent and service was very good. Highly recommend!
