Evening meal we called there today what a delight food was cooked to perfection the lamb shank was superb, steak and ale pie was excellent. Served with a nice pint and glass of wine lovely friendly staff.
Absolutely fantastic. Lovely little friendly pub. We’re not from the area but found it online and popped in for an evening meal with our dog . Brilliant food and atmosphere, best meal we’ve had in a long time!

Always a delight to visit this lovely pub. Michelle, David and staff look after their customers and make everyone feel welcome. The food is spot on, proper pub grub and the Sunday Roasts are gorgeous. Beautiful patio area at the back of the pub and a grass play area for the kiddies. 👍❤
We were a party of 15. The staff were very welcoming, courteous and helpful. Fabulous food with generous portions. Will be poping in again.
After a cold and very muddy walk, we popped into this pub to enquire about Sunday lunch.
Very friendly atmosphere and a warm welcome sat by the open log fire.
Meal was very nice indeed.
Lovely meal and great service
This is a pub that I feel quite comfortable to pop into for a pint after a dog walk, me and monty feel equally welcome.(complimentary dog bics do help!!) The garden and patio areas have been arranged so well that you can have a quiet spot or be in the hub of things. All the facilties like loos, baby changing and so on are well presented, clean and fresh.
Had some take away from here thru lockdown and was impressed, the menu is looking good and tho I can't comment directly on dining in, I can say the place is busy and I've heard no negatives. All in all, a great all rounder of a village pub, decent pint, friendly service and seem to be able to cater to diners, drinkers and party groups. Long may it last, keep it up!!
The three of us found this place by accident looking for somewhere to eat whilst passing through. Great friendly staff and the food was fantastic. We all really enjoyed it, just what we needed. Easy to park and free. The food was fairly priced too. Great selection of drinks also.
We enjoyed a wonderful roast pork lunch today. Prompt & friendly service as usual. Food was great & plenty of vegetables. Would have loved a dessert but couldn't eat any more. Thank you - Martin Lynda & Charlie
