The staff are so friendly and personal and really make you feel comfortable. The waiters are so attentive and made sure our drinks were topped up and if we needed anything throughout our whole meal! The food is amazing and I can highly recommend the mixed grill! The meat just melts in your mouth and the authentic sauces and dishes are tasty! We love the food and warm atmosphere at Bas Bar that we have been back to eat on numerous occasions!

Nice bar/restaurant good food. Ray is the 5 star server here! So attentive and a great host. I genuinely look forward to seeing him when we go here. This place is good but would not be the same without him.
Hadn’t been here in years so thought I’d treat myself… the food is soooo good I literally want to try everything on the menu. Nice to see the quality is still high, if not better, even after several years. The guy who served me was quite fine too lol
The food was amazing, we finished eating around 10 pm. The kitchen was closed then, and we were told there was no rush as the bar stays open for a while.
The next thing they took it upon themselves to bring bill and card machine over and just stood staring like we was in the way, not very friendly at all, so we quickly paid and left even though we hadn't finished our drinks.
Having been to India a number of times, and with my wife being Indian, we both agree this is the best Indian food we've had in the UK.
This place does not promising from the outside, but the food and service are great.
Well worth a visit for authentic Indian food.
Vibrant - We booked a table for six one Saturday evening and although set up as sports bar the food was good, fresh and full of flavour, not like an average Indian restaurant, it was nice have plenty of fresh coriander and good use of the tandoor.
Chef's could be scene from working hard in the open kitchen, waiter was attentive but waitress struggled, as she seemed timid and lacking knowledge of the menus.
Might be slightly spicier to normal curry lovers and would of liked more comfortable chairs but portions were plentiful and cost was as you would expect. Would definitely visit again 4/5

One of the best Indian food in Gillingham. Amritsheri kulcha is my personal favourite.
First visit New Years Eve for tea. This visit for lunch on a Saturday. Not local, but next time we're visiting family - this will be the place to go.
Goat curry is highly recommended. Lamb saag unbelievable - intense flavours. This menu is varied, along with the expected regulars. Everything is cooked to perfection. So wished we lived closer.
The staff are friendly, interested and knowledgible. Beer is pretty good too!
Booked last minute as let down by another indian restaurant who couldn't accommodate us! I'm so pleased that we came here instead! We were a group of 14 adults an children. The staff were prompt and friendly. They explained everything for us. The atmosphere was brilliant. The food was freshly cooked via open kitchen and the food was amazing. I'm so pleased we found the bas bar! This will be our only place to go now! We'll done all the hardworking team! Lynn
