Had a fantastic 7 hours in the Oak. Amazing food and service. Nothing was to much trouble for the new landlord "Charlie" (even though 4 out of us 5 were a bit of a handful!!) Would highly recommend a visit. WARNING We will be back 😉😉

I took my wife for a meal at the royal oak today.we must say very friendly service and felt so welcome.the dining area was also very comfortable.
We both enjoyed our meals and will go back again,the steak I had was cooked to perfection, loved it and went home full to the brim

Omg what can I say about the pub the Royal Oak! Suberb crack, food & drink staff bang on lovely atmosphere some pubs you walk into & there a tad cold, this one nice & cosy! Landlady & landlord absolutely brilliant really recommended

Just stopped for a quick lunch after visiting the Purity brewery. Got a very warm welcome and the food was really tasty. We had a curry, tomato soup and a baguette and they certainly hit the spot!

Under new management a great experience especially if you like rock music. DJ Chris plays great classic rock on Friday evenings. New manager starts food in June. Well worth checking out

Friendly atmosphere and people. Went to have a few games of pool with a couple of friends. Drinks cheaper there than other places, food looked and smelled amazing but we did not eat there but definitely will another time

WE visited the Royal Oak on a Thursday. We had a table booked for 4-30pm & when we got there we were shown to our table by a very pleasant & efficient lady. We ordered drinks & they came within a few minutes. I ordered the cod & chips, my wife had the chicken & my son had the pasta of the day which was spaghetti. My fish was cooked to perfection moist all the way through & there was loads of chips. My wife's chicken was well cooked & tender with a plentiful supply of veg & gravy. My sons spaghetti was like a mountain a huge pile of pasta & Bolognese. He enjoyed it very much but had to leave some to make room for the pud. Nothing seemed too much trouble. It was a very enjoyable meal & we would definitely go back again. Well done The Royal Oak
