7 of us met for a birthday lunch.
Everyone enjoyed the food, generous portions. The drinks were spot on. Charming people serving us. Splendid old pub nice garden easy parking. On a very hot summer day, the place was a perfect temperature.
Not expensive. The menu and the specials board were an uncomplicated selection plenty of choice very nice. And they were more than happy to swap things around to your taste. We will visit again.
Called in on a walk with my dog. Very kind and friendly service. Bacon huffer was delicious and great value. I had mine with a nice cold drink. Will definitely make this a regular stop off and will try the yummy looking cakes and coffee...😍👍
Went for lunch today with family. The service was fantastic, friendly and efficient without being over the top. The menu had a lovely variety of dishes with a selection of specials too. Most of us had a different dish but every one was so tasty. Could not recommend enough and of course you have the added bonus of lots of parking
Fantastic food, very generous portions and lots to choose from. The staff were so friendly and welcoming especially the young lad at the bar and who bought food out he was very polite and friendly to all my family and especially my puppy who I took in. I wish I had desert as the options were so nice but the main being so Gilling I had no space although the option to take home was there. I will note for next time. The only down side was there were quite a few flies in the restaurant but that couldn't be helped.
I met up with a friend from school that I hadn't seen for 50 year and th9s was the perfect place to do so.
The food was excellent...the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. There was no rushing us.
We were invited to the Crown I Stoke by Nayland for a meal . Belive me it is not a patch on the Saracens , they win hands down in every direction ! Presentation , cost , food , everything , seriously , forget The Crown . Saracens is 100 % better !
Beautiful pub with amazing food. Very reasonable prices and caters for children through to adults as the atmosphere is beautiful and calming and i would highly reccommend this to anybody. The service is very quick and polite and the food tastes amazing.
Really lovely meal, very dog friendly we were allowed to sit both inside and outside with our three dogs
Lunch for 12 retired chaps very good not rushed food very good .
Lots to choose from a menu, dog friendly, by the main road so a bit nosy if sitting outside
