Tried the "good apple cafe" for the first time today tues 19 aug, we had the vegan special, a veggie breakfast, a vegan breakfast, a pot of tea, a hot chocolate and 2 banana & cinamon muffins. and we all agree it was very tastey indeed.its a nice relaxed place, the staff are very friendly and helpful and they even have a toilet with dissabled facility and the toilet is spotless :) so its a big thumbs up from us and we will recommend it to anyone who likes to eat lovely healthy veggie or vegan food :)
Even before turning vegan, I've long adored the Good Apple Cafe. Now, it's my absolute go to. They make, by far, the best breakfast in Sunderland, and the staff are awesome. Always friendly and up for a chat. And to top it off, head chef B is utterly awesome - dare I say it?! My favourite chef in the north east.
Pretty nice vegan restaurant. Tiny however very affordable! Scrambled tofu was lovely! Well worth the price for all of the food, the tempeh for bacon replacement was good! Very filling, the food potions are amazing! The place seems quite busy too. Gluten free and dairy free friendly is lovely to see more place popping up like this!
This is a very well established cafe selling Vegan food with added education. You're never too old to learn. I had oat milk in my coffee and it was very good. Cows milk just doesn't agree with me. Anyway, I enjoyed the coffee here with oat milk, I've since bought oat milk for my coffee at home. The bagels they do here are fantastic, with the right amount of chewiness. Lovely. The whole experience is worth a visit. There were some very happy eaters in here and there was always somebody waiting whilst another group was finishing off. Vegans will love this place. And those without any specificity in their food groups can eat here too. The food coming out all around me looked and smelled gorgeous.

This has become an almost weekly visit now. The variety, value and presentation of this place feels unmatched.
The staff are personable, friendly and welcome you as a friend.
The specials on the board have always blown me away and are worth checking out each time.
The meals are filling, tasty, colourful and although I'm not a sweet fan, I've never been able to say no to a cake, they're that good.
I'll continue to visit every time I'm around Sunderland and encourage everyone to do the same.

Lovely vegan cafe. It's small so you might need to wait for a table. Staff are very friendly. There's a baby change in the toilet and high chairs available. As a vegan it's nice to have a full choice of the menu. The Mexican burrito is really tasty! Lovely cakes to choose from as well that are also available to take away. They also do suspended coffee where you can pay for a coffee that will go to someone else who can't afford it.

The food is amazing, especially the scrambled tofu! The staff are super friendly and the whole vibe just wonderful! Can only recommend coming here and enjoy their vegan meals!
Great selection of vegan dishes. The mushroom burger was so good! And the vegan Oreo brownie was so moreish. Will definitely return as staff were lovely too
We had the avocado on toast and the sausage panini which were both very good. The 'homemade' sausage was best vegan version I've had in a while. Lots of other dishes on the menus too.
Lovely, friendly haven of tasty vegan food and delicious treats.
