This has got to be the best place to get Chinese food in sunderland Edit 2023 June, they are now cash only and the quality is standard, still the only Chinese that hasn't gave my food poisoning so I guess it's still the best imho

Every time I visit Sunderland my addiction for pineapple duck and special fried rice from the Silver Star returns. I'm never disappointed with the service or delivery, and the food beats any other takeaway in a 15 mile radius. On top of this the owner has achieved a 5 star health and safety record by the food standards agency every year I've visited (an unusually high standard in Sunderland), so I always know the quality and cleanliness will leave no regrets, following my indulgence. I can definitely recommend the Silver Star.
