Usually only eat at Coleman's when South of the Tyne, but couldn't be bothered to travel that far.
Nothing beats Coleman's IMO, but this was a pretty good substitute!
Mushy peas lacked flavour. Fish and chips were banging, though!

The fish bites were fantastic. The chips were acceptable but not amazing. (Dry probably old) Glad we had the fish bites, due to no large fish.

I paid a visit here on Sunday when I had missed the chance to go to my regular Downeys in Seaham, I’m so glad I did, the fryer gave a warm and friendly welcome as if I’d been going for years. The food had the same brilliant quality which was nice to see that the consistency is kept on top of. Well worth a visit.

Outstanding quality fish! I never get chips but the fish was superb 👌drove past the place loads and thought one day Al try their food!

I've been here a few times now and the food is always lovely. Some fish and chips shops tend to be greasy or not taste very fresh, but the food here has always been lovely. The prices are very reasonable and they have a good selection on the menu as well as some healthier alternatives and the portions are always generous. The staff here are lovely and although the fish is cooked to order you're not waiting around for ages. Would highly recommend to anyone.
