The best pub Sunday lunch in Surbiton and one of the best I've ever had.
Went with my son on a Sunday lunchtime.
Beautiful weather so we sat outside but not the full table service, ordered at the bar.
I had the pork and it was the best roast pork I've ever had. Lovely cracking, moist meat and super tasty. Considering the generosity of the protein and a good amount of vegetables I think it's great value too. My son had the chicken which he rated highly too.
Great service.

Came here for a roast last Sunday with my wife and kids. The pub was very good for allergens and the food was lovely! Served by Oli M who was extremely friendly. Definitely will be back when I’m in the area, would recommend to friends and family in the area.

Came in for food happy, left even happier. The staff made me feel welcome and oli m served us. He was fantastic! His quick wit, his charm and his laid back vibe put me right at ease. Made me want to stay all day and night! Will come again 10/10

Cozy, neighborhood pub which has become one of our favourites over the past year. Particularly enjoy their charcuterie and buffalo wings (though they only do wings on Wednesdays now!). Plus lots of outdoor seating in the warmer months.

Went to celebrate Mother's day. The food was excellent (Vegan Wellington, fish n chips, vegan burger). The service was good considering how busy it was in there. Staff were always happy to help when flagged down. The pub is nice but the outside area really surprised me - it is very well designed and large enough to probably double the number of customers if needed!

Melissa was our server and was very friendly and lovely. She got my dog some water and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely afternoon spent in a lovely pub! Food was very tasty especially the fried cauliflower- really enjoyed it all!

Great pub with indoor restaurant area and a large garden containing lots of covered space. Always reliably good food here and a decent selection of beers.
Recently booked a table for a large group here and the process was very easy, paid a deposit and turned up - perfect for an informal gathering where people could order food and drinks at the bar as and when. Manager very kindly secured our group a covered area outdoors, much appreciated. Thank you!

Had a really great evening in The Grove, nice atmosphere, great music too. Just wanted to say how polite and helpful the staff are, especially Oli Moore, who was charming and has fabulous customer service skills. Thanks Oli, your recommendations were great!

Great pub to have a drink in and it had a great atmosphere even though it was raining. The shelter in the garden really helps. There's also a huge selection of beers to choose from . The food is great too. I had the steak sandwich and it was lovely but it would be great if it was a little bit bigger.

Chloe took my order of wings, fries and a pint (Wimbledon lager) other beers are available ,punctually as well as with vigour and gravitas. A smile was provided as well as a Witty retort.
All round excellent service.

Took family who were staying for a local pub meal. Lovely place & wasn't too loud on a Friday evening as it's very spacious. The sausage & mash & fish & chips were excellent. Loads of options to choose from in Surbiton, but The Grove always delivers.

Our waitress was melissa and she was really good, helpful and tentative to all our needs. Food was really good. Our first visit as family have just moved into the area and will definitely be returning when we visit family again. Thank you to all the staff.

Lovely good food, not exorbitant prices. Needed wasp catchers in the garden as we had to come in as there were si many. Only negative in food was the dark mousse which was more like a chocolate sauce. The rest of the food was delicious, especially the meringue Eton mess. Yummy

The Grove is a spacious gastropub with a really generous beer garden set with in tree lined surbiton village. Beautiful all year round with lovely staff who we can’t thank enough for their care and attention when we had our engagement party there. Gynette and team were absolutely wonderful, and very patient. Their roasts and food in general is really great, perfect on a Sunday and also perfect for parties as it’s so spacious.

Excellent neighbourhood pub, great food, excellent choice of beers, and a spacious beer garden. Service is fantastic. Mellisa served us today and really looked after us- many thanks and we keep coming back just for this friendly and welcoming service.

I rarely wrote reviews but I felt compelled to write one for The Grove.
Last night we had our end of year parent drinks at The Grove and it was excellent.
I was nervous with the food platters because at the time I thought there was only a vegan and non vegan choice but we were blown away. The platters were delicious and a huge variety of food. The parents were thrilled.
The communication from the staff leading up and also on the night was excellent.
And the garden area with fairy lights that was reserved for us was a beautiful setting.
I can't speak highly enough of hosting a similar function for anyone needing a venue.
This will be our schools go to venue going forward, I couldn't fault anything.

Friendly service, decent food.

Went to this pub upon a friend's suggestions. Very limited parking place in front though plenty of spaces on nearby streets.

It has both table service and over the counter ordering. Comfortable seating area with also a great outdoor garden at the back which is glorious in summer time.

Food-wise it is above average and serves your typical pub menu such as grills, burgers and fish and chips. Decent quality and quite tasty. Great selection of craft beer and drinks as well.

Would drop by again if near the area.

Went for a Sunday lunch with the family as we fancied a pub with a garden and a bit of sunshine.

I had the (enormous) Sunday Roast, also on the table was a Pork Belly and a Chicken Breast with veg. The portions were incredibly huge and the food was all fresh and tasty. A decent selection of ale and the usual lager suspects with a kids menu which includes a Kids Sunday Roast which went down a treat.

It's your typical " order at the bar " and "pay as you go" fare but they had plenty of staff on hand for the Sunday so even with a full restaurant they managed to serve everyone efficiently.

I'd go back for the Sunday Sirloin Roast.
