We love the Maypole, great people, Joe the landlord, good company, good food and our favourite beer, Youngs. We only get there a few times a year as we live on Eastbourne. We are always remembered and made welcome. They looked after my dad before he died and they still look after my mum, her little community. Called up around 12pm Sunday 29th for a table that day at 2pm for 7 people Spoke with a lovely lady called Lisa who accommodated us. Arrived for lunch., greeted by Lisa who was lovely. Roast is fantastic. Will be back
1st ever visit..halfway home on walk and wanted to watch Rugby League final on my phone. (Soccer on sky inside). Spacious and good value..Sat quietly outside..Great range on beers.. Well done
We have just had an amazing Sunday Roast. Lots of beef, crispy roast potatoes and fresh veg, very filling. We were recommended and will definately come back.
The place is always lively, with football matches being telecast and they often have live music. The staff are super friendly, they allow kids and dogs. During occasions like mother's day, they offer special discounts... Food is served oy on Sundays, the beer is great
We started coming here recently and really like it. Great to have a local pub within walking distance - the garden is a great sun-trap, bar staff are friendly, drinks are reasonably priced. Would recommend!
Wasn't here long as I only called in to watch a covers band that was playing that night. Staff polite and friendly and everything was as one would expect. Will definitely be back if I am in the area.
