Gavino's Restaurant

Beautiful little authentic restaurant. Due to Covid the full menu was not available but what we did order was brilliant. We had the seafood risotto and spinach ricotta dishes. No gin selection but its Italian so didn't hurt having a meal out with something different. more than enough on portions as we were both very full. Highly recommended.

Antonio made this place for me. Seeing him operate in this family run Italian, you can tell that he really has pleasure from seeing people enjoy the ambiance and superb meals. I can say that I have not had a meal this good in a while. 3 courses some beer and a stiff digestive set us back £57. Well worth it and if you really enjoy meal time with loved ones, you need to bring them along to this family homestead.

Living local we have visited this restaurant for many years....and the Italian's that were there before Gavino's. We love this place...its a proper Italian restaurant and the food is much like we have experienced many times in many places in Italy. with authentic Italian food - fish, veal, steak and pasta. Reading a review on here i must add this is not a pizzeria! Its not like going to some chain "Italian" restaurant where they have pizza, etc. Donimos is next door if you want that. We have never had a bad meal there and love the family that run it. Enjoy!

The steak is amazing and the staff are lovely. It's a sweet little restaurant, and great to have locally. I'd recommend sticking to the house wine as it's much cheaper and has always been good, whereas others have been variable. It's good value considering the high standard of the food (especially the steak). Gavino's Hot Pudding is definitely to be recommended too (after the steak!).
