I Visited The Woodend Huthwaite Today With My Mama And Grandad, We Have Been To This Pub Many Times Over The Years, It’s Always Easy To Get A Car Parking Space, And The Pub Is Clean And A Friendly Atmosphere Upon Entering, We Always Manage To Get A Table For My Disabled Mama, The Staff Are Really Friendly And The Carvery Food And Drink Is Always Amazing, We Were All Particularly Impressed Today By A Handsome Man Wearing Black Shorts Who Was Super Friendly With All Of Us And Even Offered To Move The Table Around For My Mama, This Pub Is Always Really Great, And We Will Be Visiting Again In A Week For My Mamas Birthday Thanks Again The Green Family

We went to the woodend in order to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary with our daughters.
As always, lovely atmosphere, quality food and quality staff.
We will be back again, we usually call in for drinks and food whilst walking the dogs

Good selection although they aren't the fastest at filling up the missing items so be prepared to wait 5 min for eggs etc. The toaster is all set wrong, one pass and it's slightly drier, second time through it's practically burnt. Food is ok priced drinks are expensive. Parking is ample and there's plenty of room inside.

Always popular, reasonably priced and nice staff.
Second time here. The first time I had a large carvery (really struggled to finish it) and the second time a regular which is still a mammoth feast. I wouldn’t both with the £1.80 upgrade to go large.
The children’s meal includes a pudding any daughter was so full she couldn’t manage a pudding 🤣

Bank Holiday Saturday,very quiet,party of 6 ate later in the afternoon so one or two things not available,I had the carvery a little dried up but acceptable,but not as busy as I thought it would be,but like I said it was more about the time of day.Perhaps lunchtime would have been better,perhaps next time.

After trying to ring and not getting through we thought we'd try our luck. Well our luck was in and we got a table, lovely staff made to feel very welcome. Best carvery we've ever had and all the food was lovely and hot. Clean and family friendly will definitely be going again! Probably try the buffet breakfast next time... well worth a visit

Very nice carvery..sadly the 2 times we visited there were no option for other meals due to staffing issues. Although I would imagine other dishes are just as nice. Lovely venue with outdoor seating offering great views.

On arrival the pub was very busy. Despite this the lady at the front desk made every effort to find us a table. We had the carvery, a soft drink and a coffee. This was ordered at the bar and I was served by a guy who is possibly the friendliest barman I've ever met. Clearly enjoyed his job and the environment he worked in. The food was delicious and the man serving was again super friendly and charismatic. This seemed to be the pattern for our whole meal. Friendly staff. Great food, possibly the best carvery we have ever had. Fair prices. We will be back.

Visited here with my family we had some burgers and carvery the service was really slow despite not being very busy. The carvery food was very good . The chicken burgers also good. The beef burgers not so good very thin and dry around the edges . Would definitely go here for a carvery again
