A very nice Induan restaurant, amicable service despite there being a big group event. Delicious tandoori mixed grill and excellent butter chicken. Quality chutneys. A nice relaxing atmosphere, a 9/10, will definitely revisit

This is local to one of my friends and as I now live in France I couldn't wait to visit as we don't have many Indian restaurants where I live. Meet a couple of friends here and we ordered various dishes to share. The onion bhajis pictured were the best I've had for a long time thank you. We had a great evening. The service is impeccable and will definitely return.

Great quality at a reasonable price. Would recommend, madras is a nice heat not too hot, but has a kick to it.

The food is lovely with very good selection. You can even ask for your main meal to be changed slightly when ordering to make it even hotter it mild, or medium.
This place has a good vibe and will not go anywhere else now.

I always have a lovely time here, I come with a group from work and it's a great chance to have lots of food and drink and catch up. The portion sizes are decent, about right for one person if they get a rice and curry , we tend to get a few sides as well. The only downside is that it can be quite noisy here as it is a large restaurant, for us that is fine.

The Star had been a regular 'haunt' for many years, perhaps mainly after a beef or two... The thing is you always know exactly what you are going to get - which is consistently good food, service and choice. The surroundings are good and you can mostly get a table without booking, although it's rare that the restaurant feels 'under-used''. Finally the prices of the dishes on offer are all pretty reasonable, with the average cost of a full meal and drinks usually in the region of £20 per head.
