This place has just been taken over to become part of a mini chain. I love their beer selection! Burgers (subcontracted to another company) are flavoursome and belly-bursting. The vibe is good, althoug hit looks like any other trendy East-London pub...

Went there for Halloween after party, staff and customers pleasant. Only trouble was there was an excellent DJ sadly in competition with 2 very large screen TVs showing boxing. Not sure if it was pub/club or sports bar. Bit run down but lovely paper on toilet doors. Music was delightful. DJ played requests as another one set up. Eclectic ethnic music.. Shame more people did not dance. Casual dress advised.

Visited in the early afternoon on a Sunday in early October. Had a very nice lunch here. Big seating areas indoors and out. Lots of families here for the lunch. Nice food options, all the classics. We had a roast and fish and chips. Both tasty, uncomplicated, good value. Friendly staff. The beer selection was a bit poor, sadly, very little in the way of independent breweries. We had a good experience overall and would happily return.

Lovely pub, good atmosphere. Had the football on which is always a plus. Huge portion of chips for a fair price, sorted the little one right out. Could do with a larger ale selection, but the prices were fair. Don't live around here but would visit regularly if I did. Thanks to the staff šŸ‘šŸ»

Went for a drink with a date. The sofa we ended up sitting on was initially being used by a family with two toddlers so I imagine itā€™s kid friendly. Capacity was probably 5% but the vibes were still great. We loved how versatile the seating was. Sofas, chairs and tables, corner sofas, benches outside. Music and ambience was good. Would definitely go back.

So thereā€™s a new food menu at the Duke!!!! I went to the duke today for some lunch and I was thoroughly impressed! I was told that today a new menu was introduced and I must say this is far from pub grub more like fine dining, in a pub we had the buffalo wings, Korean wings and scallopsšŸ˜« they was all amazing! We ordered a jug of passion fruit martini which was excellently crafted by the knowledgable bartender. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed and the service matched the food and drinks. After paying the very small bill, considering the food was equal to restaurants weā€™d eaten from up town we was extremely happy and will be returning! Thank you the duke e17!!

We popped in this pub during our bike trip. The beer is great and food is tasty. There was a misunderstanding with the order, but they quickly sorted it out and changed the dish and we are very grateful for that. Thanks!

I went for a drink and we sat in the back garden, it was a weekday evening so it didn't seem too busy, but it had a nice atmosphere.

A spacious pub with a nice playlist, tasty food (especially the triple cooked chips and buffalo wings) interesting tables, comfy chairs on some tables, and great customer service. There is free Wi-Fi, toilets are always clean, and there is a spacious pub garden as well. I enjoy going here and would recommend it!
