Stamatis, Faith, John, and Tim, I can only second everything that Marsha Garrison wrote about our stay with you 2 weeks ago. We adored our comfortable and cozy room and all the goodies you left for us. The Stag's Head and Swalcliffe fit perfectly with our desire to "travel the road less taken" during our 2 weeks in the UK. Not only were your family the "hosts with the most", but everyone we met in the village was exceedingly friendly and kind. What an absolutely perfect kick off for our adventure! The only drawback? Why, that we didn't have a week to stay instead of only one night. Do hope to visit again when we have a longer time to stay and will highly recommend the Stag's Head to any friends traveling your way!!!!
Pulled in for a water and oil check, and saw the pub sign,nice little country pub friendly landlord, we paid another visit on our return journey, pub was quiet and was not doing food, however they agreed to put on some bowels of chips as we where hungry on our steam day journey.
An intimate traditional village pub frequented by the friendly locals. You'll be made to feel right at home by the locals and staff, get the chance to sample some traditional Greek food, and tasty local ales. Beautiful views over farmland from the beer garden. Recommended
The place is beautiful. We was meant to stay here Saturday, unfortunately there was a power cut and was unable to stay as we had to get ready to go to family wedding. The 5 stars are for how lovely the staff were and how understanding they was. They have such a beautiful place.
What a lovely pub! Stayed here in one of their very comfortable, well appointed rooms after receiving a warm welcome from the friendly grekj family that run the place. Had a delicious Greek meal for dinner. All in all a treat & also superb value for money.
Such a treat finding wonderful Greek food in Oxfordshire! We also had a delicious roast dinner here! All the staff were attentive and made us feel very welcome (including the dog!). Really liked that there wasn't a "kids menu" just smaller portions of the normal one perfect for a family meal! Will definitely visit again!
Stayed here for one night. A great night's sleep and breakfast in the morning. The landlord was very helpful and friendly. Was a good base for us visiting our daughter in Banbury. Would recommend staying here and would no doubt book again if we need to be in the area again.
If you're looking for the best homemade Greek food then this is the place! We had the sharing platter and every item was delicious. The staff is nice and the place cosy so we 100% recommend it!

Yummy Greek food and friendly hosts!
Terrific country pub and a friendly family that operates it. We both ate there and stopped in for a beer several times while staying in the area. We had a nice chat with some of the locals and enjoyed sitting near the fire. This is a great country pub that is often visited by locals. I'd return here for a meal or a beer without hesitation.
