Came for breakfast this morning as I was in the area and ordered the mega breakfast (feeling a little hungry). Waited only a short time and the food looked amazing. Food was hot and tasted great so my compliments to the chef.
Will definitely come back here as the manager on shift Jade and Chef John were both polite and chatty.
Did try to send this message directly to the restaurant but email didn’t send on their contact us page so I hope they see this : We visited for my sisters birthday she’s also heavily pregnant . We were served by Ahmet this evening who was outstanding his service was out of this world he made a massive fuss of her and made her birthday evening so special! He is a massive credit to the company and I hope he receives recognition from his bosses. He’s a legend even when he wasn’t serving us we could hear him giving the same amazing service to the other tables.He created such an amazing atmosphere in the dining room we will defo visit again like he asked us too. Can not thank his enough so making our evening so enjoyable
The wheatsheaf was a nice pub. I stayed around an hour whilst waiting for my friends to give me a lift to football. San Miguel was £4.80 a pint and service was quick and with a smile. It Was 3pm on a Friday afternoon when I went in and it was already quite busy with locals who had finished there days. If your in the area I would recommend. Didn't have food so can't comment on that
Really good find. Went as I had a voucher to use. Couldn't use it here but the friendly staff helped and made the whole meal relaxed. Casey was very helpful and patient. Thank you!
Good cheap meals, fast service after ordering at the bar. Only downside was the cleanliness could be better. Wiped down the table ourself as no one around to do it and there was lots of food waste under the next table and chairs. Food was good and plenty of it. Good offers available daily too. Will return.
I’ve just had a bloody brilliant meal here and it’s made a real change to have service from some really lovely staff (Jade, Casey & Grace). Thank you guys, will recommend to friends and family.

I hadn't been to this place for years and I was very pleased to see that it hadn't changed.
This pub has always offered proper good value for money. There is a vast selection of food on offer, all for a decent price and the portion sizes are massive!!
I opted for the Burger sizzler (if I remember correctly) which was a tasty cheese burger with bacon and salad, fries and a corn on the cob...and also another plate with a steak and about five chicken wings with onions and peppers all for about 12 pounds!!!
I admit that I was definitely full up after that, but still managed to fit in another pint before leaving!! We will definitely be back when we are round the Swalecliffe area again.
Good food at incredible prices. Like, you seriously queation how they make money.
The staff are friendly and polite, the food came correct, on time and hot.
Lots of locals, very colourful. Was a footie night so very excitable, lots of families too, so if you're not one for a bit of noise this is not the place for you.
Only gripe, more care needs to be paid to the toilets, but that's more dirty customers than staff. People need to get better aim!
Great place for a decent priced but of pub grub. Staff are very attentive and are always helpful. Will definitely be back
My local, I highly recommend to others! Great atmosphere and good banter! Food is excellent value!
