The Ship Inn

It is a really lovely pub with a welcome feeling to it. It is dog friendly too which is really important to us. After reading some of the reviews, some of which weren't so good, we decided to try it for ourselves. I'm so glad we did. It was a delicious meal, with good-sized portions and happy, attentive staff. Thank you to the staff for a fantastic meal. 😋🩵🐶

We didn't eat on the day we visited. I asked manager if we could bring dogs in. You can buy need to sit at the back. Which was fine. Good selection of drinks typical pub prices. The only niggal I had and should have raised it.i paid cash the chap rounded it up as they had no change I think. As next time I visited the bar I got change. It was clean good atmosphere it got busy as time went on in late afternoon. I heard people talking of the good meal they had the previous evening. They do have a resultant area. Meal prices looked ok would I go back certainly I would.

Popped in for dinner and was very happy we did, staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. I had the big chilli cheese hotdog & my partner had the beef and spinach lasagna, all cooked fresh and didn't have to wait long either. We really enjoyed it 😋 Highly recommend visiting when you're in Swange.

Nice enough pub, nothing wrong with the food but it doesn't stand out particularly, had an issue with the kids burger as it looked.... Interesting and had lumps within it. The atmosphere is nice but nothing special once again. They had issues with us wanting to move two tables together, one of the staff was lovely and the other was giving us the cold shoulder the entire time (we where split into two tables with separate servers). All around a pretty average pub.

It was a wonderful dinner, I have with my family. 2nd night in Swanage, we found this restaurant. Very warm, welcome pub and restaurant. Very cosy place. Staff are very polite and friendly. The food was excellent !!!!!! I really love my Rump stack !!!! Perfect cook. Another dishes of my family are also yummy 😋 The price was reasonable for what you've got. I definitely will go back for the rest of our trip. Highly recommended 👌 👍 Don't miss!!!!
