I had the pleasure of dining at Banana Leaf restaurant in Swansea with a group of 13 friends, and it was an extraordinary culinary journey. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality that set the tone for the evening. The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the wide array of authentic and flavorful dishes. The Brinjal (Aubergine) Curry was a delightful start, with tender eggplant pieces cooked to perfection in a rich and aromatic sauce. The Mutton Kothu Parotta and Vegetable Kothu were equally impressive, offering a unique blend of textures and spices that left our taste buds dancing with joy. For those seeking a taste of South Indian cuisine, the Mysore Masala Dosa was a standout. Crispy on the outside and filled with a delectable potato mixture, it was a true delight. The Gobi Manchurian was a delightful fusion of Indian and Chinese flavors, adding a touch of zest to our meal. For those who enjoy a bit of heat, the Mutton Devil was a fiery masterpiece. The tender mutton pieces were coated in a spicy sauce that had us reaching for water and savoring every bite. To balance the spice, the veg noodles provided a refreshing and satisfying contrast. Throughout the evening, the attentive staff ensured our dining experience was flawless. They were knowledgeable about the menu, accommodating to dietary preferences, and always ready with a smile. In a nutshell, Banana Leaf restaurant delivered an unforgettable dining experience with its authentic and flavorful dishes, attentive service, and inviting atmosphere. It’s a hidden gem in Swansea that deserves to be discovered and cherished by food enthusiasts. I can confidently say that this restaurant has set a new standard for Indian cuisine in the UK. Lovley restaurant very busy best to book a table first.the owner Mr Paul Singh was very welcoming.The staff were great ever so polite.The food was on point.we orderd chicken jelfraizie..okra curry..chickpeas curry Coconut rice which is a must try.we also orderd chicken dum biryani out of this world with a different kind of chapatis which were very filling.for desert we had a milky vermicelli very tasty and mango kulfi(ice cream).The banana leaf has a very homely warm vibe.Totally recommend this resurant.

As a Sri Lankan, I was really pleasantly surprised by the quality and authenticity of the food here- it reminded me of my mum's cooking. I would recommend the kothu roti and the milk hopper (pal appam). Can't wait to go back and try the other options. The only suggestion I would make is the lighting in the restaurant in the evening is a little too bright and artificial!
