My partner and I were visiting the area, and on a Saturday night , we did not have a room, but we did have a meal. Our food was lovely, and my veggie lasagna was perfect :) We had puddings also, which were great. It felt like real effort was put into creating and presenting the food. Only real criticism, if i have to find one, was there weren't very many non alcoholic options. You could ask for Pepsi, water, etc, but there was no menu. Otherwise we had a very lovely time and the staff were helpful and friendly - the atmosphere was calm, diverse and welcoming.

We stumbled across this place and stopped for an evening meal. The food was good and well priced at the time we were there the service was good but this was to the end of the night. Only thing that was odd was the music that was playing.

We booked a table for 2 for a birthday lunch on September 18th 2023. What a find! Very reasonable prices and the food was delicious. Starter of cockles and laverbread made in a way we've never seen before. Amazing! Mixed grill and lamb cutlets the best ever and we had to make room for a dessert something we haven't done for years. Service was brilliant and setting fabulous. We'll definitely be back

Outstanding Experience! I visited the Abercrave Inn Restaurant on a Sunday and had the Sunday dinner & chocolate brownie for dessert, and I am super impressed. It was one of the best Sunday dinner's I have ever had, the lamb was tender and veg was cooked to perfection. There is a wide selection of desserts for everyone's taste buds. We were served by Debbie (The owners wife) who was lovely & friendly and regularly checked on us if we needed anything. All of the staff were also very friendly and helpful. There are tables outside to the front of the restaurant, around the back there is a balcony and garden area with picnic tables where you can enjoy the fresh air and sun. There is a lounge area inside to have a drink or 2 after you have enjoyed your food. This would be a gorgeous venue for any event/occasion. I would recommend The Abercrave Inn to everybody and I am looking forward to my next visit. - Food 10/10 - Service 10/10 - Location 10/10

Didn't use the rooms so can't comment on those. Last minute booking for a large table was accommodated last minute so saving a birthday celebration from disaster. Thank you to the attentive staff for making the evening special. Selection of menu choices sampled...all home cooked and recommended. We will return.

I stayed at the Abercave Inn recently for a few days. It's a lovely location out in the Welsh valleys. I found the staff to be very helpful and hospitable, and my room was very comfortable and had everything I needed for my short stay. I felt very safe there. I only ate a proper meal there once, as I had other plans the rest of the time, but the food was delicious and generously portioned, and I would gladly eat there again. The red pepper sauce that accompanied the salmon was particularly delicious. I would definitely recommend this place to others, and I'd happily stay there again.

We only had lunch at the Abercrave on - hence I cannot comment on the accommodation. The service good. Overall, our meals were enjoyable - however - I ordered the Tuna. It was so overlooked that I may as well have ordered a [dry] chicken breast. The rest of the meal was very nice

Excellent pub perfectly located with outside area which is dog friendly. We had chicken skewers starters for mains which were a generous size. Hubby had beef burger with bacon with onion rings. Cheese garlic bread sides. All generous portions and super delicious. Overall friendly staff great service and delicious food. We will be back!

We have stopped the for a dinner on uor way back from Wales and I'm so glad we did. It's a lovely place with a beautiful quiet garden and a pretty little waterfall at the back. Food was delicious and well priced. Portions were quiet large. Definitely worth stopping by.

Called last week whilst on a cycling trip in the Swansea valley. A great welcome, very good service, and a cracking Madras curry. Other members of our group had the Lamb dish which was lovely. The food in general seemed very good value and we'll definitely call again.
