Proper pub atmosphere with absolutely delicious food. The starch portions were a little meager so, obviously, my dad was still hungry after. Prices were more in the "dining" range rather than "pub lunch". Rugby was on in the other room so felt lively as cheers would occasionally fill the adjacent room.

One of my favourite pubs, it’s not local but I go here as often as I can. The food is fresh and delicious and not over priced. The outside area is brilliant especially in the summer time, it has a big enclosed area for the children including a zip wire.
Inside has a cosy proper pub feel. When we went last week we were made to feel really welcome (even though we’re not locals). Some pubs round here you walk in and the whole pub turns round to see who’s dared enter!
The only downside to this place is that it’s not in walking distance. They look like they have a great selection of drinks, just a shame I’m always driving.

Had an amazing pub quiz night here! When we were invited for a quiz and pie, I was expecting a quiz and classic microwave pie job - not delicious artisan pies and a very slick pub quiz to match! Would definitely come again, it was excellent.

Recently under new management, the quality of food has been fantastic. We have eaten dinner (where the menu choices are excellent) as well as Sunday roast in the past month and both were brilliant. Staff friendly and quick. The bar area seems more spacious than previously and the garden will be excellent in the summer with outdoor beer taps. Dog friendly which is a big plus in my book. Warm and welcoming for all, families, couples etc. Great local beers as well as your normal brands.

Brilliant pub.
Popped in today before a wedding. It was a lovely setting with a great garden.
Service was excellent too absolutely cannot fault it.
Poor planning resulted in us being busy drinking great beer and realising we didn't have a taxi booked to the wedding venue 2 miles away.
The landlord, far too kindly, got us to the wedding venue. Absolutely above and beyond. Will definitely be back.

The food, the beer, the inside, the outside, the staff…. It all adds up to a highly recommended destination.
The food is incredible good and definitely value for money.
I had the calves’ liver followed by the sticky toffee and every element of these dishes worked to make every mouthful a delight. I’m really looking forward to going back.

Nice large car park with one delicatessen and one butcher's to one side. Building restored some years ago. Not used too eating a dinner off a wooden board with fat pouring from the fish when cut.
