Camping at oakhill leisure, decided to go a walk to the Plough for a drink. Well worth the 45min walk, lovely friendly place, very accommodating, roast potatoes were amazing and a beautiful pint :) will deffinatly be paying you another visit when we are on holiday again
We went there for my Birthday lunch it was fantastic and we were made to feel very welcome.
Brilliant i would highly recommend
What a lovely local pub this is. The service was good, food fresh and home made. We had the beef sunday dinner and it was really nice. Plenty of veg and gravy to go with. We will defo go back when next in the area. I actually forgot to take photos of my food. I would recommend booking.
The best local village pub that I have stumbled upon, it is located in a half way through on my commute - perfect place to stop, great service, lovely people, must visit if you're around ..
amazing village pub. unbelievablly welcomed. unreal hospitality and amazing home made food!!!
My family and I turned up after food had stopped being served , but the lady at the bar went above and beyond to accommodate us ..... inside was a lovely friendly atmosphere .... thankyou
Great Sunday lunch well prepared and served up by the lovely ladies that work there
A small pub with a big heart ❤️
We were visiting our very good friends who eat here often.
The landlady is fab cooks and waits tables.
The food is lovely home cooked and plenty of it too no small gravy jugs here and topped up if needed.
The menu is small but enough.
Sky TV quiz nights and more.
Really friendly atmosphere
Look forward to our return Thank you
We popped in here for some lunch whilst traveling from Grimbsy back to Oxford. It added just a couple of miles to our trip and was well worth the visit over your regular side of the road eateries.
Both Hannah and Helen were lovely and made us feel welcome despite having some issues with the card machine (I hope these are resolved!).
Food was great and service polite and individual. It feels like a lovely little 'regulars' pub but one which is welcoming to passers by.
We will likely stop again here next time we are passing by.
Did not have food but great pub
I was always told to tell the truth and be honest. So this little place has great potential to be a beautiful friendly pub for family and friends to meet. The food was fresh, although took a little time because of such. The dishes made were very tasty but it feels like as we were a table of six and they didnt expect us, that they were not quite prepped. This is because the home made chips added to the dish were of a small portion.... but more were made and brought to the table without even asking.
Called for a meal early afternoon. Not a big restaurant style pub more of a local with a few tables for meals and that's no bad thing.
There were 4 of us and had 3 different meals that took about 15/20 minutes to arrive but were all home cooked and good quality ingredients that were really tasty.
I was a bit shocked as a tight Yorkshireman at 10 quid ish for Lasagne but it really was worth it.
Definitely recommend the Plough.
Don't expect 'spoons prices but worth it for the tasty home cooked food.
Thanks to all at the Plough 👍
