I've been going to this restaurant for yesrs now and have never had a bad meal whether it's just my wife and I or as a large group the food is fantastic. The staff are very attentive and in my humble opinion the best I have had and I have travelled around the country quite a bit .
Staff are very friendly and service was excellent. The meal was lovely and hot when bought to the table, had many takeaways and each time the food was delicious. I would throughly recommend this restaurant!
Very tasty food this evening, not the cheapest but if it’s good quality then we don’t mind that. There are some vegan options which is great! Unfortunately they don’t do vegan onion bhajees like some of the other Indian restaurants we use but fingers crossed this is something that they will rectify soon as it’s a big must have for the vegans in our family.
This was one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to in all of England! The food is cooked with so much love and flavor! The wait staff are very helpful and professional. The ambiance is lovely! It was also really packed with locals on a weekday night- I was very impressed.
Fantastic food and really fast delivery. Always on time every time. Had a wrong meal delivered on one occasion and they resolved with no issue and a sincere apology. Replacement was delivered with no quibble within 20 minutes. I highly recommend this establishment.
I ordered a takeaway from the Maharajah as I have done numerous times before. However, this time the poppadoms tasted as though they were cooked in rancid fat. Normally the food is first class albeit a tad expensive. The rest of the meal was up to the normal high standard, so I will consider this a one off.
My favourite Indian restaurant bar none (okay, Veeraswamy in Regent Street is pretty good but I don't want to take out a mortgage for a meal). The food is excellent, the portions generous, the staff very friendly and attentive and the owner is totally involved with the whole process. Unfortunately, he becomes a friend of all of his regulars, which might lead some people to think that the reviews from locals are not objective. They would be wrong. People drive out from the surrounding towns to dine there in preference to more local restaurants, because it is simply the best.
Ordered our second takeaway from here this weekend. For me it completely outshines RWB curry houses and is excellent. Would be 5 stars if the urge2eat website could be improved. Enjoyed the dhansak, jalfrezi, mixed grill and the sag paneer was lovely. Bread and rice good too. Will be reordering! I would recommend smaller pieces of chicken in the curries though this is just our preference; note not less just smaller pieces! Oh and really fast delivery too.
This restaurant is a wonderful place to take the family. The waiters are very receptive and even allowed my daughter to have a child sized portion korma which was very accommodating. I found the atmosphere to be bright and not over the top like other's I've been to, the decor has the right balance. The food is delicious, well worth the coveted 5 stars they have.
We had a delivery from maharajah it was half hour early, we moved from reading to swindon and we have struggled to find a good Indian. We ordered maharajah special chicken tikka bhoona it around £4 more than a normal bhuna but it was well worth it. The food from this restaurant is outstanding. Highly recommend.
Never been to Swindon and was recommended maharajah by a friend.. Greeted with a smile.. Nice homely atmosphere. Great service and superb food. A little taste of home, away from home... With some added style.
I have been coming to the Maharajah at Purton for many years now and I have been meaning to write a review. The food is consistently good, the staff are friendly. The newly decorated restaurant looks beautiful which adds to the ambience. Most of all the food is reasonably priced and I would recommend it to veryone to try it. I will certainly be going back there!!!
