The Check Inn has reopened under new management, Luke and Annie who are very welcoming. It's now a free house and if they haven't got what you like to drink they're willing to listen and see if they can buy in the beers/lagers you like.

Just popped in for a quick drink. Nice one way system in operation. We were able to sit in the garden as weather lovely today. Passed a couple with a roast dinner, looked lovely, made us all hungry!

Great beer, great staff and a welcoming Landlord and landlady. The local sausage baguettes are a particular delight. The pub is home to a healthy and friendly local trade yet is equally at home catering to the lunchtime business crowd. Dogs (on leads) are welcome.
The Thai food here is amazing and the best we've had. We've been here a few times and the staff are always polite, it's never packed and they are accommodating. It is a little bit on the expensive side and service can be quite slow, but for the taste and quality of the food it's worth it for sure!
A lovely, old fashioned pub. It's tucked nicely out of the way, so doesn't get overly crowded by foot traffic. The only negative is the constant noise from the motorway when sat outside. Thankfully there's enough trees to full the sound, though.
