Harvester Swindon

Always find it takes forever and a day to get the bill at this place. So much so I actually asked for it when we ordered, so we could leave promptly after finishing up. That aside. We really like the salad bowls, the counter was full of fresh food and it's a nice place to stop for breakfast or a quick lunch. It's hard to knock the place because harvesters are cheap, good enough for the money establishments. All elements of the experience reflect that. That's not a dig, that was exactly what we were after when we went, and they delivered on expectation.

Great place for family dining. We stopped with kids on a long journey, ideal as it's easily Accessible off the main roads with ample parking. Kids menu was great and they also had a little activity colouring pack. Food was good, good choice on the menu and competitive prices. Staff were friendly and polite.

Good price for Sunday lunch. We ordered four 2courses and the waiter used the cheaper price to charge us based on two 3- course and rest on a la carte. Though £1 less, we appreciate his thoughtfulness. Food is good. The special lunch comes with unlimited salad bar. A big lunch for us. Dessert brownies are good 👍🏻

I've eaten at Harvester several times, and they've always been reliable. Food is good although ordinary. Barry, our server was fantastic (as usual) and really took the time to chat with our young son. I went for the 'Dirty Bird Burger'. As you would expect, it's a chicken burger with the usual refinements such as bacon and cheese sauce. I can only deduce that my particular chicken was very thin, as the batter on the burger was thicker than the meat (see pic). It tasted great, though. I'll probably visit again, as I know what to expect from the food, but I hope I get Barry as my server again.
