The good lady and I dropped in on a Saturday afternoon for a sandwich and a pint. Took barmans recommendation on the sandwich, it was really good. Tea infused IPA bloody lovely. Chilled music which helped for a gentle relaxing afternoon. I have also been here on a few busy Saturday nights, which are also fantastic, this is not a fake plastic wood street pub. All in all great staff, great beer, great place.
Paid my first visit today. Got to say , I was very impressed. Loved the slightly quirky layout (gents loos interesting, Beano/Dandy on the walls with converted beer barrels as urinals). My first foray into the craft beer section of the ale market and I was pleasantly surprised . I came in to try the Toast Ale out of curiosity and stayed for a few others. My experience was made all the more pleasant by the landlady (Linda) who was very friendly and knowledgeable . It felt like how pubs used to be, like a "local". This may have been my first visit but it certainly won't be my last. Thoroughly recommend. Thank you!!!
Lots of new age craft beers to choose from. Not to my taste but a quirky bar in an old haidressers with live music at weekends. Old comics to read, as wall paper, whilst doing your business into cut down beer kegs. Knowledgeable owner who provides extensive insight into the breweries on tap and advice to your preferences. This bar would be one of many on your walkabout in Old Town as there is little parking nearby.
Really enjoyed our night in here, friendly family atmosphere......Great selections of beers and drinks.
We loved playing the board games whilst having a drink. It was lovely to see others doing the same xxx
Definitely a must!! We will certainly be frequenting this pub again.
Next time we do plan to try the food..x
Nice pub. Busy so must be popular. Comfortable and suitably quirky..loo wallpapered with the Beano! A great place for an after work drink with friends . Staff really friendly
Impressive keg lineup and a well stocked fridge. Only had time for a few thirds and a can for the bus journey home 😁. Nice interior, will re-visit. Cheers.
Best place in swindon to listen good music and have great options of many kindes of beers!!! So far Really recomend this pub!
Excellent selection of craft beer including 16 taps and two double fridge's of bottles and cans.
Extremely welcoming staff and friendly
Good selection of board games to play
Highly recommended
Went out to Swindon to try the local brewery's. Stumbled upon this place by accident. The atmosphere was fantastic. The decour was well suited . When I asked if there was any local beers on tap . The bar staff named every beer and exactly where they were from. Very helpful, and accommodating. Very tasty beer and lots of options
Good atmosphere - a good local, welcoming to strangers. Real and craft ales, board games, occasional live music. Dogs welcome.
A great selection of Lagers, Ales and Cider. The barman was very knowledgeable & friendly. Loved the atmosphere & with the addition of a live band, you couldn't go wrong.
Haven't been to a pub this full in years. Loud DJ playing music I've not heard of before.
So many varied drinks to choose from.
