We dine here regularly for lunch and it’s our favourite Indian in Swindon. We have tried lots of different dishes on the menu and they are always delicious and well presented. The restaurant is great value for fresh authentic food. The service is great. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. We will be back soon.
It is one of the best Indian restaurants we have eaten at. The food is delicious, so well made, and we are waiting to come back again. 😋 We had some vegetarian side dishes, chilli nan, mushroom rice, and a main of lamb rogan josh. Really delicious 😋

So accommodating and so kind. We ordered to collect and was ready in adequate time .. food was by far best tasted in a long time. So fortunate this restaurant is on our doorstep ! Keep up the great work Team Raj 😀
Absolutely delicious food and very good service. I've only marked the atmosphere at four stars because the restaurant space doesn't feel particularly cosy. It was perfectly clean and comfortable but a felt bit motorway service area. However I all other respects it was excellent and the food was particularly good.
Great venue, delicious food and excellent service. I have had my sons birthday party here and it was awesome. Every staff of The Raj made sure that we have good time. They went extra mile to make this event special. Food was fantastic, served in right time. Freshly cooked. Everybody was happy and had great time. I had the madras, with nan bread, onion bhaji. Not a bad curry, would give it a 6.5/10, good service but lacking an atmosphere.
The restaurant has only been open 2 months and we initially walked past it one lunchtime, noticing that they were open at lunch.
We decided to book a table on a whim in the following days and we were not disappointed. We booked a lunchtime table for four and ordered three dishes. Chicken Korma, Chicken Tikka Masala and Goan Fish Curry, plus the usual extra’s.
Everything was out of this world - flavours were superb, special shout out for the onion bhaji’s too! Absolutely amazing. We will be back and we don’t hesitate to recommend.
The Raj is totally different to any of the "just another Indian restaurant". In order to realise this major difference, just walk in and ask for the chef's special "Molecular Gastronomy" dishes. These dishes will blow your mind as they look like supermodels and taste like a dream.
Absolutely first class. Very friendly staff that make you feel very welcome. Food is outstanding. Don’t think I’ve had, in fact I know now I’ve never had a better Madras than what I had in the Raj. Marks out of 10? 11.
