Excellent John Lewis with very helpful, well trained staff. Nice café. Good parking. Good range of goods, all high quality as you might expect. Very supportive of local charities, with you occasional performances in the foyer!
John Lewis staff are always very helpful and friendly. The selection of goods available in this store is excellent and it is always kept tidy and fresh. Parking can be a bit of a pain at busy times however, there is family and disabled parking directly out the front. Customer toilets are on the upper level and are kept clean at all times. There's a lift for access to upstairs where there is also a cafe. The cafe serves drinks and food (hot & cold) but can be a bit pricey.
Staff are quick to respond when there's a queue building up. As with most stores, the atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant. Great warranties available on electronic goods, so I always try to buy my electronics from here. Good access and parking available.
The quality of the home furnishings is great and there is always a friendly face who will give their undivided attention to help you select the best choice for you. Their electrical items are covered by a 2 year guarantee which I find very reassuring. Parking is very easy and free. There is a café upstairs so you can meet friends for lunch or tea and cakes. I'm impressed with the friendly atmosphere and helpful staff.
Great size, and not too busy which is nice. The Christmas trees displaying the decorations they sold in-store were amazing at helping us pick a theme. We felt the cafe staff could have been more friendly though...
Usually go here after researching prices and finding they can be the cheapest. However if going to browse be aware they will price match anyway. Pick your timing as the car parking can be very busy and getting out can also be slow. The staff are very helpful and the product range is good.
Helpful staff and a relaxed shopping experience with quality goods. Look out for the handy extended warranty on some purchases. Only downside is the car park - they need to make it one-way to cut down on some of the queues that occur.

John Lewis have so many beautiful things, I feel like I'm watching tennis when I shop there because every step I take I see something else that's stunning & catches my eye. I ALWAYS buy my electrical goods at John Lewis, there's always at least a 2 year guarantee, you won't find the same product cheaper anywhere else & the customer service is always so good. I've purchased some beautiful things for my home, the Egyptian Cotton bedding & the Keira Orly Duvet covers & pillow cases are to die for. It's all off such good quality that it's worth every penny. Staff are always friendly and helpful, the products are normally of high quality and you get what you pay for.
When my elderly father had a bad accident in the store they did everything from bandaging him up, staying with him to keep him comfortable, calling an ambulance and contacting myself. I can't speak highly enough of their professionalism and thoughtfulness, they even called days later to see how he was. Those are the kind of staff you want to interact with.
Usually service is excellent and the staff helpful and friendly. A star dropped, because I've found that you'll just occasionally get days where groups of staff cluster chatting and it's hard to get their attention. On this occasion I was there for a replacement of a failed computer. Handled quickly, efficiently, with no fuss and with a smile.
