Absolutely love this Pub!
We have been going to the tree for a couple of years now.
Staff are lovely, food is great! Service is EXCELLENT!
Love the fact that there is a climbing frame with a slide in the garden which keep the kids busy.
A wonderful walk around Box hill and stop for lunch @TheTree!
Its cosy , dog friendly and the toilets are always clean.

Do not waste your time or money here. Service is extremely slow (we waited almost an hour for the starters, then another 40 minutes for the mains). The food is overpriced and VERY bad, so bad that we actually gave up on the mains without finishing and went home to cook our own food! Everything on the extremely limited menu is from a freezer and cooked in a fryer, except for the "salads" which are not salads by any real stretch of the imagination, and the soup which is bland and lukewarm. This place does not seem to know the meaning of fresh food, but they are charging fresh prices, so beware and go somewhere else! Even that tacky Smith and Western restaurant up the hill is better than this place.

Thank you for a delicious lunch today! Carrot and lentil soup with hot freshly baked rolls and the best ploughman’s we’ve ever eaten. Excellent service and we will definitely be back as soon as lockdown is lifted!!

Great food! Limited menu, but what we had (sausages and mash) were top notch and filled us up after a long walk!

Enjoyed a family meal in the garden, the atmosphere was good and staff friendly. Menu choice was poor and limited but what i did order was quick and tasty. Kids play equipment was an added bonus and was fun for my 7 and 10 year old.

Our first post lockdown pub, solely due to road trip demands. Really welcoming and had it set up sensibly. Decent food. Top notch service.
