Food was incredible! We had the Kothu and the crab curry which tasted exactly the same as my Appapa (grandad) makes me! As a Sri Lankan, I am so impressed and happy that the food was so beautiful! Would highly recommend everything on the menu, fresh and tasty authentic Sri Lankan food!
I mainly order takeaways from this restaurant but have also dined there. The food is excellent, you can really taste the depth of flavor in lots of their dishes, and . The chef is happy to adjust things to suit you if requested. Really nice food makes a welcome change from all the Indian restaurants in the area. I haven't tried the Italian food they offer yet, but the Sri Lankan gets a big thumbs up from me.
Great food, friendly staff. Sri Lankan food which itself is a combination of Indian , Malay, and Chinese influenced dishes whilst also offering classic Italian dishes was a new and very enjoyable experience for all of us. Fusion dining at its best.
Prices were very reasonable and a pleasant evening was had by all. What more could you ask for.
Recently had a great meal at Serendib, with an Italian starter followed by Sri Lankan mains. Everything tasted so fresh, and (considering the Covid restrictions allowing only outside dining) we were kept lovely and warm with the heaters provided. Very personal service from management and the chef who was kind enough to come and say hello and give us some background on his training and experience. Overall, a great experience and we'll certainly be back again for food and/or drinks!
This is a fantastic Sri Lankan restaurant serving authentic Sri Lankan dishes in Peak District. Born in Sri Lanka, I know an authentic dish when I taste one! The pepper pork, casava, koththu and everything we ate was simply awesome!!!
The staff was super-efficient and very friendly - tried to cater to everything we wanted including kids!! Can’t wait to go again and highly recommend!!
Wow, Serendib really is a hidden gem in the area. Myself and my girlfriend were visiting from London area and never in our life have we been so amazed at the incredible service provided by a restaurant. To begin with, the food was absolutely amazing and really did taste like we were in Colombo itself. Furthermore everyone at the restaurant was so kind and helpful. I cannot recommend this wonderful establishment enough to anyone from the area or visiting it. Thank you so much to everyone at the restaurant and we (hopefully) cannot wait to come back and visit again.

Friendly staff, lovely food, brilliant atmosphere and also great value for money.
We would recommend Serendib to anyone who is looking for a fabulous dinning experience, you won’t be disappointed!
Family friendly amazing food with authentic flavours of the beautiful island of Sri Lanka! Already been back again and would make a visit anytime we are next in the area it's that good! If you are visiting Matlock you need to give this a try, lovely staff, great food, big beer garden for the children and beer on draught, winner!
What a lovely gem of a place brought us back to being in Sri Lankan.
The friendly staff where of a high standard and very attentive. It was our first time of visiting will not be the last.
The menu had a good variety of food.

My in laws being Indians I eat a lot of Indian (/Bangladeshi) food.
I have tried almost all vegetarian/vegan dishes from Serendib and loved most of them.
The food is less oily than your typical Indian and very tasty.
Just hoped the restaurant would be open on Sunday as I would be there every week.
