Awesome food, wine and great gluten free menu. I’d highly recommend!
The interior design has an emphasis on the family’s love for all things alpine, the lifestyle, atmosphere and chic, to create a comfortable informal venue to enjoy either a glass of wine with friends.
The restaurant offers classically cooked modern British and European cuisine, with a range of dishes to suit any occasion, from a quick bite to eat to a celebratory dinner.
The downstairs bar offers a good range of wines by both the glass and bottle, alongside real ale, premium draught and bottled lagers and ciders.
Great food, reasonably priced, waiter managed to pace the variety of courses we had to perfection, never felt hurried. Our only criticism relates to the fondue, which would be better served with something like French baton rather than alpine flat bread, which is insufficiently absorbent. Overall a great meal out.
We went out for a drive and fancied a nice Sunday lunch. Passing the Piste restaurant, we decided to plump for having a meal here. Well, what a treat! The slow braised shin of beef served with creamy mash was absolutely on point. Following this up with the sticky toffee pudding and salted caramel ice cream was a mistake. Not only could I not walk but taking a breath was difficult ( yes, I didn't have to eat it all!) The food was delicious, the presentation was perfect and the service was second to none. We will definitely return again and again and again!
Had s lovely Ladies lunch here on 16th January. Lovely food and very pleasant and attentive staff. Would definitely recommend this place. They do amazing king prawns out of their shell too. Enormous.l Great atmosphere and cosy in the evening with candles.
We had our Christmas party here, there were 25 of us and Piste made it look easy. Nothing was too much for them. All the staff were amazing and the food was perfect. Thank you so much to the whole team you were all amazing and made the evening very special. We will be back soon!
I ate at piste on a buzzing Friday evening, even though it was early January. This surprised me as you find that restaurants are quiet after Christmas, this clearly shows the outstanding quality of this establishment.
The restaurant was well laid out, had a large variety of wines and had staff members who were kind and Courteous.
The food itself was very good I had the 7hr braised beef shin and I must say the flavours were incredible and I would recommend it to anyone visiting piste. Additionally, every course came promptly after a 5-10 minute wait which I believe is perfect, and shows that the kitchen is a well organised place.
I would also like to make a special mention about my waiter for the evening, Andrew. He was amazing, attentive but not over-bearing which are the best traits for any waiter, a Superb example.
Thank you for a great evening everyone at piste! (If there was a sixth star I would of gave you 6/6)!
We had a meal there Tuesday.
Food was Super.
But Ellouise our waitress was outstanding and deserves a mention.
Well done girl. I hope you enjoyed your drink when you got home.
We were a party of 6 adults a toddler of 17 months and a 10 day old baby. We were made very welcome the seating was appropriate. The food and service was excellent. We had a very relaxed afternoon, thank you.😊
My wife bought a Travelzoo voucher for a chateaubriand here as a birthday treat. Pleasant reception from the staff and quickly settled at a nice table. Polite, quick service for drinks and the menu presented and the offer explained.
We ordered starters as an extra - ham hock terrine for my wife and scallops for me. Quickly served but fresh, hot and delicious. The ham hock was fine but slightly salty; my scallops were ok but only three and one was burned a little but OK. The main was delicious - cooked and served medium, onion puree, broccoli and hand cut chips. All perfect, probably the best beef I've ever had. A couple of drinks were included and we had a couple of extra drinks from a good selection of wines. To finish all we could manage was to share a wonderful sticky toffee pudding really, really good. Our server was attentive but not pushy and we had a banter with her and mentioned the salty terrine and that it was my birthday. When the bill for the extras came, they knocked off the cost of the terrine and gave me the sticky toffee pudding as a present. Without a doubt, a great combination of serving and cooking staff. Highly recommended.
Called in for a light brunch & ended up having a 3 course meal.
2 starters very light & tasty,
2 mains very very tasty,
1 pudding fantastic.
2 glasses of wine, full bodied
1 & 1/2 pints of beer & a coffee
And change from £70
We called in by chance and hope to call back again soon, :-))
