Albatross Fish & Seafood

I could have had fish and chips at £13.95 but chose the sea bass (shared) @£39.95. So that is the price range of the beautifully cooked food in this light and airy restaurant. The staff were friendly and attentive and made us feel very welcome. My only criticism is the upstairs seating area was too echoey and I struggled a bit to hear what my companion was saying. I'll go back again.

Food and drink was delicious! My friend had called ahead to let them know I was vegetarian, the host recalled this and explained to me my options. The chef said he could make me pasta or the option on the menu of course, i didn't expect to have a choice so that was a lovely surprise! We sat down stairs and it was very noisy, I think because of the lack of soft furnishings maybe... Perhaps some of those fake clouds would work

I thought this place was gorgeous. My dad took me here for my birthday meal. The food was glorious and the waiting staff were very attentive. There are only two criticisms I have, one that it is quite loud and so perhaps something more to absorb sound would be great and the other, there had been a miscommunication about what the dessert was when we asked and both my father and I would not have ordered it, had it been better described. Just not our type of dessert but it was pleasant enough. Definitely recommend it, the scallops were beautiful!! If you dont want to use your napkin like a bib, dont wear white and order the seafood Platter ha!

Visited on Saturday for lunch with husband ,foodie daughter and my mother. It is very unpretentious from outside and the board outside lists usual breakfast cafe fare. along with lunch specials. We chose a mix of things from the standard menu and lunch time specials. It was a really nice meal, service was good and very reasonable priced. We all enjoyed our meals. I would choose for it a nice lunch in preference to any of the chains in the town centre. Wish it was open on Sundays

We had heard a lot of good things from friends and decided to try it out for our anniversary. I can say for certain that we concur with all that we have heard. Very good and relaxed service with a great understanding of the menu. The food was super and served hot in a timely manner. The menu was diverse and the wine list expansive.
